Joe Taslim was such a perfect casting for Bi-Han’s Subzero. Expertly portrayed such a chilling and ruthless character and combined that with his fantastic martial arts ability. Him and Sanada stole the show

Fun fact: Joe Taslim (The actor who played Bi-Han/Sub-Zero in the 2021 movie) said that he wanted the character's backstory to be explored more in the movie, because he knew that Bi-Han in the games was more human with a deep personality.

Have to admit Kuai Liang discovering that Bi-Han is evil is one of my favorite storylines in the game and him becoming the second Sub-zero and grandmaster is amazing, teaming up with Scorpion, I hope in the sequel we see him team up with Scorpions descendant and we see Noob Saibot

I remember watching a bts discussion and Joe was saying how incredibly heavy his sub-zero costume was. He sweated so much and his body got pushed so hard keeping strong and fit enough to move in the costume that he lost a ridiculous amount of weight

Bacisañly, the scenes that included the two or at least one of them are considerable better Quality (visuals, camera work, directing.etc)than any scene that don't involved them, it's like 2 movies parches in one, with one being wayy more rushed and sloppy

I''m willing to bet he''s Bi Han because the main proof is missing, if you look closely at Sub Zero''s face in the new Mortal Kombat game 1, you''ll at least find one of the best marks that''s not visible. But on the other hand, Kuai Liang's eye color in the Mortal Kombat X game is the same as Bi Han in the movie, of course you have to remember that Bi Han was Bi Han before he became Sub Zero. Both brothers are my favorite characters in Mortal Kombat so i''m keeping my fingers crossed for both warriors! I noticed a detail that caught my eye when i looked at Joe Taslim''s Bi Han, that the mask of Sub Zero in the new Mortal Kombat game is a bit strangely similar to Bi Han's mask in the movie, which i think is a new proof of Sub Zero''s identity in the new Mortal Kombat game. The mask is better seen in the new gameplay trailer on Sub Zero''s face.

The funny thing is that Cole Young is essentially a play on the words "Kuai Liang" - the name of the second Subzero and BiHan's brother. Unless they decide in the sequel to add a plot twist that Cole Young is descended from both Hanzo and Bi-Han.

Sub-Zero is one of my favorite mortal Kombat characters. But I don't understand his abilities. Sub-Zero can manipulate ice, create weapons from ice, control ice, multiply from ice, mimic ice, teleport in ice, and regenerate within ice. But yet he's still bleeds, how is that even possible if a person is made up but nothing but ice abilities as a ninja?

I love the casting in this movie. Love the fight scenes as well. BUT....the story needed work. I mean a lot of work. The 1995 original had a better story.

You don't need story in a Mortal Kombat movie. At all. The problem with this one is it TRIED to make one. The original that you praise so much for its story as well as the first Mortal Kombat game is basically Enter the Dragon with a fantasy twist. It isn't original in the slightest. And it DOES NOT need to be. People love the original movie because it was a kickass action movie that didn't take itself more seriously than necessary. Do away the story, put a simple hook in and just let them fight. There doesn't need to be more story than that. EVERYONE is there to watch their favorite characters fight each other anyway.
