You can also wrap the fob in tin foil to disengage from engine

nice, I have been looking for the tutorial on this feature since i got my xv, very clear & concise. Thanx. One question, how do I reset the pincodeif I have forgotten it? Will disconnecting the main battery will do it?

I believe once you have set it, it will remain there even if you don't use it. You can always override it by resetting a new pin code. Or probably I think unplugging the car battery would reset everything.
