Hey Matthew, thank you for your video. Believe it or not, it's harder to find a video than it is to get this part now. Now it can be ordered from WRX speed albeit for about $159. But it's worth it to get it in 2 days then to hassle with having it shipped in from Japan. One question that I have for you is when you received yours. Did you receive a approximate 4-ft long l-shaped rubber trim piece? That's about 1 cm. If you were to flatten it out it has double-sided tape on one side of the L on the back side. Mine got shipped with it in the box as well as with the rubber protector that you so perfectly installed. You did a fantastic job. I was just wondering, I got the one-page Japanese instructions translating them out into English and on your video I see you have the rubber mounted almost down flush with your lip. We both have the crystal white Pearl that is I think. Anyways, the question is, did you receive only the rubber tailgate projector or did they include a very thin approximately 4 ft long l-shaped piece? I'm trying to figure out if this is supposed to go on the back side of the lip of the tailgate. It just seems to serve no functional purpose. And thank you again for putting up this video. It only has 448 views but I tell you you did a spectacular job mounting it cuz I saw the amount of 3M tape on it and the Japanese are not messing around. There's about three rows plus big pieces on the end, so I'm not sure if you after you mark the center with the square went from left to right and put it around the curvature of the tailgate with the tailgate in a upward position. This is problematic because that 3M tape has extensive grip and it's once and done and with that much 3M double-sided tape on it it's got to be put on right the first time. It's just much more demanding than cheap Subaru bumper guard which has one or two strips and you've got a second go at it if you don't do it right. So sorry for the long post but if you could detail if you removed the 3M on the one or the other ends and then approximated it and then worked. It slowly left to right or just pulled all the tape off and went to town but it looks fantastic man!

I was thinking to put a clear film on the bumper to protect it when I sit on it. If you have any ideas let me know. This area sees lots of dirt and I need to be careful every time I go hunting. I personally don’t like the black plastic protection as then dirt gets stuck in crevasses. Let me know your thoughts. I hope this message is clear enough 😂
