Cool!! Finally my favorite generation Suburban’s. Just plug in a Range Technology dongle. The 6L80’s have a much lower first gear than the 4L80’s.

I like that. Good info. I had emailed you a couple years ago wondering about doing some kind of build while keeping the 3 rows of seats. The newer body style has some neat features (like the split 3rd row -- and I think (?) they fold flat). Are you able to make a sleeping platform with that shorter shelf/drawer in the back? I wish my 2005 had more HP when it's loaded and I've got a roof cargo carrier...and I'm fighting a wind.

When I fold the 2nd and third row flat it is about the same level as the platform. That's where I place the mattress.

Where did you find the small brackets used to strap down the Delta power unit? I have an 07 and a Dual battery kit in the rear and looking for the bracket so I can strap it down. I like your suburban builds, great ideas.

I communicated with you guys a year or two ago about buying an RV. I ended up not securing funds and decided to wait. I now own a 2004 GMC Envoy XUV. I am starting working on it to kind of make it into a pseudo Suboverland vehicle, but would prefer to get that Suboverland sticker and make it an official model. I know you do conversions for the regular Envoy, but was wondering if you'd tackle and XUV variant?

We haven't. 230k on original engine is not too shabby

Oil pressure is detrimental to these AFM engines, at 250k I had the tick and low oil pressure light on. I replaced the oil pick up tube o ring, pan gasket, pressure sensor and installed the AFM oil return shield in the pan and pressure holds 40psi. The engine runs fantastic and I get about 20 mpg combined, now at 285k miles in a 2008 silverado. Hope this helps, it’s about $100 in parts versus a new engine.

It’s about an 8 hour job on jack stands and the front diff has to come out but it can be done at home lol
