Matt I searched in many sites whether the graft hair is permanent or even that falls off in 10-20 years....the answers were all mixed So since the transplanted hair does not have dht receptors,doesn't that mean its permanent? I'm planning on getting a hair transplant for the first time so I'm confused

Does it help to apply minoxidil to your donor area? How many months should you be on minoxidil before going for a hair transplant? I'm ready to commit to a hair transplant, but I want to know what my baseline is before I get it done.

Hi Matt, I had a transplant on the crown 6 months ago and it still doesn’t look full. My doctor said that the crown usually takes a while longer than the front, but this guys crown looks amazing at even 4 months. Any ideas why mine is so slow?

Matt my scalp is not too oily and I apply minoxidil at 9 am night to 9 pm then i simple rinse off minoxidil with cold water I use protien ayurvedic organic shampoo once a week Would you recommend me using shampoo every day or every alternate day and how often you use shampoo ? Lots of love 🤠

Maybe is a stupid question, but: is it necessary to keep on using minoxidil after an hair transplant if you're already taking finasteride? And, if yes, why?

Can you refrigerate liquid minoxidil? I want to mix 0.025% finasteride and 5% RU into it, but I know I’d have to refrigerate due to the RU. I would use it once a day at night. Do you think the RU in this solution would be stable for 60 days?

Hello Matt first of all I really admire your thinking out of the box by going to Ankara instead of Istanbul and finding a good clinic there my question is a lot of clients are afraid to use dito-finostride before or after hair transplant do you have any advises of replacement for it in cases like this patient prefer not to use minoxidil because maybe hair in the midscalp will get used to it so if patient stop using it transplanted hair will stay but original hair may get affected in negative way I wish you could make this points more clear (I wish my questions are clear since English is my second language :)

Hey Sami, in my opinion if somebody doesnt want to take finasteride, dutasteride or even minoxidil before and after hair transplant, I think he should consider it twice whether hair transplant is even a good idea in such a case. Honestly, it is hard to find something more effective, something with more scientific evidence for treating hair loss, which would be also easily available to buy. You can try topical Finasteride or topical dutasteride instead as an experiment but even then side effects can occur.

@@Dan-ul1sf They charge 2.7 euro per graft (2.5 if you commit to posting your results on a forum). I was told that I would need no more than 4000 grafts but it's just a safe upper estimate and most likely I'll have much less.

@@Dan-ul1sf Honestly, I don't think it will. Dr Pekiner just recently raised his price to 2.5 which means his previous price was not quite comfortable for him and he kept it to try and compete with HLC. But HLC still had lots of clients and they didn't feel like they had to lower their prices because of Pekiner. With Pekiner's price higher now they have even less incentive to lower their own.

Oral minoxidil should be stopped 2 weeks before HT and you can resume it 1 day post op already.

Hey Matt, I understand that patient stopped minox for about 3 weeks. Would this time be sufficient for Minoxidil to get out of the hair follicles and make the patient lose his gains?

I know I'm not Matt,but you would have to be off of Minoxidil for about 3 -4 before months before you start seeing all the gains lost. 3 weeks isn't a big deal.

How many months would you say it will take the donor area to be virtually unnoticeable with a 2 or 3 buzz length?

This is wrong thinking. It will NEVER be virtually unnoticeable with a 2 or 3 butt length. The only thing which will subside during the 6 more months is the redness, that's it. Remember, 4250 grafts have been extracted. For it to be virtually unnoticeable, the patient's gaps between the non-extracted grafts in the donor would need to magically shrink in size. That's why, the best option for guys who love short buzzcuts and simultaneously had major FUE done, is to get SMP.

Matt , I live in Turkey. These results look amazing. Any idea how much it would cost for such a large session? And do you think this is the best (or one of the best) clinic in Turkey? I AM SO SCARED about getting bad results. I MUST make sure I chose the best one as I dont have a very dense donor. So I have only one shot, which I must make good use of. Please enlighten me, always a fan of your great videos, keep up the good work!!!

Ben bir kere sac ekimi yaptirdim 2000 greftlik cok az dökülmem vardi cok kolay benim islemim nerde olsa halledilir diye düsünmüstüm tek bir tel bile cikmadi ve donörümü mahvettiler ve ektikleri yerde kendi saclarim da zarar gördü. O günden beri her gün arastiriyorum. Kafami artik doktor olmayan kimseye emanet etmem. Korkulcak bisi yok islem cok kolay ve acisiz. Korkulacak tek sey kötü sonuc alip psikolojinin mahvolmasi abi.

It depends if your donor area is good then you can go with a hair transplant but only at top clinics and top doctors

Maybe 60 % survival of the grafts and depleted donor area. This result is bad.

I hope you haven't performed the transplant yourself buddy. Yes, the redness can still occur up to 4-5 months (especially if your skin is very sensitive). Try bepanthen cream

stupid question here : Matt why instead of fighting on keeping your hair at the top with derma roll, minoxidil, finasteride etc.. Why don't you let the alopecia progress so that you'll have a clean head where to transplant the new hair from the back of the scalp/beard/body that won't fall off ..why am I asking this ? because I saw some severe bald heads getting almost covered completely from 1 or 2 hair transplant in turkey... and seems like less work and struggles. thank you if you'll reply to this. nice hair by the way

you cant predict balding speed. could take 5 years or 50. when are you gonna get the ht? see?? you gotto manage both in parallel

@@E_free90 well Matt was already quite bald .. the hairline started way up .. also even if he wasn’t getting completely bald .. at least just wait to have 2/4 of your front hair become completely bald … easier to have a ht later
