I'm currently building my 04 expedition. I love all the room. No more jeeps for me. My winch can go on the front or back. Plug and play. I have a dedicated marine grade battery in the back to run everything. Big winch, solar panels, 2000 watt power inverter. I like my fresh pot of coffee in the morning. 2 ham radios 1 CB radio. I put a new 200 Amp alternator in to run everything. If the power goes out in my house I can run the fridge and some lights. Love what you did. Remember to add up all your power requirements then multiply Xs 2. That's why I put the 200 amp alternator in.

@@noelg9769 hey Noel, thanks for your response. I have an 04 GMC Yukon. I use fuel to cook and batteries for lanterns and head lamps. I’d love to power up a second battery to use electric griddle, electric burner, coffee maker, blender and to power a portable refer. So I guess if you can cover A to Z how extra battery connects to main battery all the way to where converter and power pack along with any links to items. If you haven’t already you can set up Amazon store to make cash from purchases from your links.

Great build. One question, how did you get the 3/4 birch side cabinet built and attached?
@noelg9769
@noelg9769 Ай бұрын
I measured and test fit many times until it fit. I'd recommend just making a cardboard template. Mostly jigsaw for the cuts. Power carved the roundover. Router and roundover bit would be easier. It's all one unit assembled inside the suburban in pieces. In the front I have brackets that connect to the original attachment point for the middle row of seats. 200lb rated zip ties in back to the tie down loops. 200lb zip ties at top front to seatbelt attachment point. In back up high, steel handle screwed into suburban frame/roof and secured to birch with pad eye and 200lb zip tie.

And I did have to remove the front seats to take out the center console. It's not complicated, mostly bolts. Just takes work because the seats and center console are heavy. And to avoid any issues, I disconnected the car battery before unplugging the electrical harness to the seats.
