I freaked the f out once when I saw my math teacher at a restaurant and I didn't say hi. Next day at class I asked if he enjoyed his pizza yesterday and he got real quiet and serious and asked how I knew and I said I was too shy to say hi in public haha 😝

HAHA, I didn't think of that, but I can say the pro is it's cheaper than Quizno's, but on that same note, the cons are...not as tasty as Quizno's, and subway had Jared Fogle as a former spokesperson for them lol. His wikipedia page says he is 'a former spokesperson for Subway restaurants and a convicted sex offender.' What a way to introduce someone! And I thought actual subway systems already had a bad rep for being dirty and loathsome, but that must have been HORRIBLE publicity for Subway after a while, that might have hurt their profit margins (warning: eating Subway subs will turn you into a predator :O).

That literally happened to my mom last week, like three times at the mall. Kids from kindergarten would see her and call her name. She's an instructional assistant at 3 elementary schools for the last 30 years and has been a swim coach and lifeguard for 40, like she started back when she was 16 or something, and doesn't age and has one of those personalities you don't forget, so she's recognized a lot. The best comment my mom ever got was when we were at a grocery store and this guy yelled, "Carol! I didn't recognize you with your clothes on!"

This was so great! My husband and I laughed our asses off on the NYC subway a few years ago when the conductor started yelling at people to not to block the door. I’m also the daughter of a 35-year teacher. His bit on teachers was SPOT ON! it seems like everyone in the entire city of Virginia Beach had my mom. She’s been retired a few years now and people from her first years of teaching STILL stop her!

"Don't hold the door!!" I ain't never been on a New York subway. But I have been on a Bay Area subway and that line gave me a flashback. Sometimes you get a nice train operator and sometimes you get the train operator who's done with everything and everyone. Keeps you on your toes. Like San Francisco.

I've never been a teacher but when I was still in high school I worked as a martial arts instructor for a while. It was very interesting being on the other end of running into a student and their parent at 17 years of age. I had a very pleasant conversation with the parent while my student tried to melt into the wall 🤣🤣

Yesss, my mom’s a HS math teacher, and the seeing students in public thing is real. They either pretend they don’t see her and run away cuz they know they cheated or couldn’t factor or something dumb. One former student actually refused to seat my mom at a restaurant. But when I was a kid, I remember seeing my preschool teacher leaving school and I started crying thinking she was leaving forever. Cuz WHY WOULD SHE NEED TO LEAVE, ALL SHE DOES IS TEACH. RIGHT?! My mom wasn’t a teacher yet at this point, btw. I wasn’t that dumb.
