Sukhumvit is one of the busiest and popular areas in Bangkok, and it has more than 100 streets from upper to lower Sukhumvit. most of it streets specially the ones that are close to the big malls and the nightlife, are crowded and busy. Sukhumvit soi 18 is one of the unique calm and best places in those streets to stay, since its got all you need in it. From 7/11 to massage shops street food , great hotels and condos, and more over its near bts asok and mrt. and Terminal 21 Mega mall. so if yo are wondering where to stay in sukhumvit as a family or solo traveler than sukhumvit soi 18 is one of your best choices.

I stayed at the Park Plaza Hitel Soi 18. Great rates under $30 per night. Additional price for breakfast,but well worth it. Very nice restaurant and the hotel staff are accommodating. This video didn't quite explain the hotels that are here. There are also condominiums on Soi 18. The video brought back memories.

We also stayed at Park Plaza Soi 18 twice and it is a great hotel with complimentary shuttle to Sukhumvit Rd. Soi 18 is a nice place to stay - relaxed and everything available within a short walk. Sure did bring back some good memories.

at the 5:00 mark is Prime Suite condo building. I lived there for over a year in 2011- 2012 timeframe. Not much has changed on this street. I highly recommend staying in this area. At the end of the Soi 18, if you go and turn to the left, it will dead-end into Soi 20. Turn then to the right and in a few blocks Soi 20 ends where you can turn to the left again and go to Soi 22. When you reach Soi 22, immediately to the left is the Parrot Cafe. I used to walk there almost every day for an awesome cup of coffee. I meet a lot of really nice ex-pats there. Some of them i still stay in contact with as friends. Also, PK restaurant is family owned and is next to Park Place hotel. Nothing fancy but very clean and the food is delicious and a good value for the money. I would eat there numerous times during the week.

My wife and I stayed at a small boutique hotel right around the corner from the Ayutthaya Massage place and used it as our central point for about 5-6 days. Had a few massages at aforementioned place and was well pleased. Correct, good central location and close to a lot of convenient businesses. I will often return to this video for the memories Dec 2018. From there it was Chiang Mai and Hanoi and then back to another hotel in Bangkok. Great memories.

At 5.57 on right side of the road, there is a guy pulling a dog with no legs that is strapped to some form of wheeled apparatus. What great guy taking it for a walk.

Hi. Just wondering when you filmed this video - reason being I stay in Soi 18 once a year - I have heard recently that the street food vendors at the start of the Soi (in front of Lexus) - have all been evicted - more than a month ago? Is this true? Hoping they havent! Regards.

Hello Matthew lately there not a lot street food vendors like before but still some. If you are going to stay in that area try to go to thonglor bts station and take exit 4 and there is a big street food court cheap and fresh and enjoy. Happy holidays
