There is no tapping, no crinkling, and no other sounds than the voice over and soft summer camp sounds.

It's great to see you focusing on such a wide variety of mythologies. I would be overwhelmed if you decided to do a history of humanity one day your channel is definitely ready for it, you've been building very steadily in your content creation. Doing a video on the history of humanity would be peak win I believe!

He could even follow along HG wells' history of the world. It needs quite a bit of updating as we've learned a lot both geologically and archeologically in the last 50 years. But I think wells did a great job summarizing much.

Gilgamesh, a King, at Uruk. He tormented his subjects, he made them angry. They cried out aloud: Send us a Companion for our king! Spare us of his madness! Enkidu, a wildman, from the forest, entered the city. They fought in the temple, they fought in the streets. Gilgamesh defeated Enkidu. They became great friends. Gilgamesh and Enkidu, at Uruk. The new friends went out into the desert together, where a great bull of heaven was killing men by the hundreds. Enkidu caught the bull by the tail, Gilgamesh struck him with his sword. They were victorious. But Enkidu fell to the ground, struck down by the gods, and Gilgamesh wept bitter tears saying: "He who was my companion, through adventure and hardship... is gone forever."

The story of Gilgamesh is a tragedy. Two men, wild and uncivilized in their own ways, become friends and learn to love life and live it to the fullest until one dies tragically. The other is forced to grapple with the devastation of death, travelling through the stages of grief until finally reaching acceptance. I wonder how many other great stories of this pair were lost and how many stories from other myths may have seeds of these lost tales scattered throughout their own telling...

I was looking for something migraine-friendly to listen to the other night and this came up. ASMR really isn’t my thing but I found it was doable with my migraine. I was delighted to find that the content is excellent - you are a superb storyteller and the way you explain history is extremely accessible and engaging. i have very severe trauma issues around sleeping and the dark and for many years could only sleep with the tv on so i didn’t feel vulnerable. i sometimes listen to you episode after episode- sometimes 10-12 hours a night, but i’m calm and unafraid if i could afford your patreon i would definitely support you thru that. but until i can my hugest gratitude for your life changing work.

Dude thank you man, I know I've said it so many times but what you do is so wonderful. I love ASMR. and now have to use it to fall asleep. I love stories, I'm obsessed w history, ancient history the most. And this legend takes all this and puts it together! I get to fall to fall sleep listening to a great soft french voice telling me a story or stories of history and so many interesting topics. And it's free! I love this channel and will support it always. I'm having health issues and not working at the moment so this helps more then anyone can know. If I could donate I would God bless everyone!
