Rupit, a charming medieval village, hidden 75 kilometers outside of Barcelona. It completely retains the architectural style of stone houses from the 16th to 18th centuries, surrounded by mountains and gurgling streams.
There are a few hiking routes around the village, the unmissable one called "Itinerario clásico al Salto de Sallent", it's a fresh and easy path, follows the stream of Rupit and ends at the cliff where you can enjoy the view of 100-meter-high Sallent waterfall, total about 6Kms. Due to the severe drought this year, the waterfall is currently temporarily dry. April to May every year is the best time to watch waterfalls.
