Do you guys have any suggestions to people who do stuff in a similar context but a unique way? I've only just gotten into vaporwave stuff (Listened to like, the entire Oneohtrix Point Never discography at this point, but I have yet to touch James Ferraro), and I'm looking for other artists who do experimental stuff like this. Closest person I found to fitting that would be Coin Locker Kid at this point, but I'm interested in stuff that goes down other paths aside from hypnotic loops of New Wave tracks or Trippy sound Collages born from paranoid nightmares.

It’s 1:46 in the morning. I’m finally getting out of a draining, long depression. I’m getting in a real and perfect relationship. My confidence is being restored. I have a million things to live for, a ton of people supporting me, and a future ahead of me that is looking very bright. But I don’t know. That emptiness deep down is still lingering and doesn’t seem to want to leave. It feels like nothing can ever be enough. I’m scared, I’m so scared. I kind of want to go back to being sad but comfortable. This video just restores me, makes me feel like who I truly am. When I watch this video or read the comments there’s no act that I have to put on because there’s nobody here. I’m me.

This reminds me of those late saturday nights when my brother and I would sleepover at my cousin's house or vice versa. We would have pizza and play n64 or ps2 (this was back in like 1999 to the early 2000s) but eventually would try to stay up and watch toonami to adult swim (when they play anime in saturdays) or we would occasionally browse through channels like VH1, Comedy Central, Nick at Nite, and Mtv to see what's on. Those random shows and old Adult Swim bumpers and commercials of restaurants like mcdonalds or movies out at the time combined with the cold breeze from the slightly open window in my cousin's room really felt nice. Now as an adult in my late 20s with responsibilities, there is good merits as an adult but damn it I would give anything to relive at least one more sleepover night in the early 2000s again when I didn't have a care in the world and just enjoyed being a kid. Long post sorry lol but to all the kids here, please enjoy your youth and never take it for granted and create memories that will last a life time, don't rush to grow up.

so i did some snooping around, this song is from an album/audio-visual experiment called memory vague by a man named Oneohtrix Point Never who released the album as a limited edition DVD-R and wanted to see what effects the songs would have on it's listeners. this was in june 1st, 2009, aka before vaporwave was a thing. Imagine, you make an experimental song for no reason other than for the fun of it, and suddenly people like this style so much that it became a whole genre.

Does this count as an internet checkpoint? Meh, may as well. It is currently 10:36 PM on April 17th, 2024, in the city of Hamilton, Ontario. I've been procrastinating on going to bed for the past half-hour. I'm currently nearing the end of my online classes - three more lessons and an exam and I'm through. I got a job working for the city with cleaning up parks. Orientation is in a week tomorrow, and I start at the end of the month. I've been spending more and more of my free time lately drafting plans for how me and my siblings are going to get ourselves to Ottawa at the start of August. I guess I just like making plans. It's certainly not gonna be a cheap venture, but again, summer job. For some reason, there's a rash on my right hand. I think it appeared yesterday. Could be eczema, given how it runs in the family. That's about all I've got. Papyrus Semi, over and out.

This is so beautiful After seeing this i just had to order a copy of memory vague i ll take the mp3! Your vids scare me in a way that reminds me of being in an empty mall as a child. Mannequins and all. Hello everyone. My intention is not to offend anyone (total respect for different opinions), but, after seeing the importance The Wire (n. 315 pg.12) gives to this track and its comments, I have to write down my opinion. I'm sorry to say that this music, for me, isn't going anywhere. This example of what's supposed to be the transmutation of "pop culture trash into an art of the sublime" is indeed nothing but a snippet of a crappy song tiresomely repeated.
