*Prey* dropped to $40 within the 1st week of release. Not only was that the fastest price drop I’ve ever seen it was also really bizarre because the game was so well reviewed and I assume it sold decently

Bought Brink for $60 on release. These days Brink is available for free on Steam. It didn’t go free to play...the full game is being given away for free on Steam minus the DLC.

I got Titanfall 2 deluxe for $6 on PSN. 6,000+ players always online, I get put into a match right away and now I wished I had played it at launch. Great game, a bite boring after a while with not much to unlock in multiplayer

I bought Alien: Colonial Marines for $50 on release. A month later it's base price was $20 and it was 75% off.

The life cycle of Evolve was heartbreaking to watch. Like I got it when it was $60 bucks without the season pass and like two or three months after it was $40. Then after a while we got new monsters and hunters and you’d have to buy them individually. Then stage 2 came out and the game went from $60 down to $40 down to $15 then to free. The free model then made it so that any dlc hunters or monsters could be bought with in game credits which made people who bought season passes look all dumb. Then after a while people just stopped playing, not wholesale because you can still find a game or two and the Reddit is still up for it, but enough for it to be considered dead.

Last Guardian came out December 6th for $60 and went down to $40 MSRP by Feburary 1st. Don't even think it was doing THAT bad either...

I got the tomb raider reboot from free with Xbox gold, maybe 3 or 4 months after release, im not entirely sure on the timeframe but I remember being genuinely shocked

Codename STEAM dropped half its MSRP within like a month or so.

Tbf there are nintendo selects but most take so fuckin long, 3d land didn't join the program in the us till like this year

My biggest issue is that while battleborn was a financial fuck up on release. People would go its dead right now, it rly isn't especially on consoles ( but people won't count that). This isn't Anarchy reigns that went unnoticed and everyone I know including me missed out on a good game. While minus the weird make porn of these characters thing that happened. It amazingly was able to get 5 new characters, 4 new game modes, and 5 to 7 dlc expansion of character stories and fix major issues along the way. Battleborn as far as I know has dedicated people playing it including myself. and as a free to play model its called a trial because fuck you.
