Gintama is the biggest troll anime. It literally starts off on a two episode filler.

Baka Valkyrie oh, that's why I didn't understand it. I came from the manga so I was so confused.

Pro trick : watch series at Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using it for watching a lot of movies lately.

Nope, Pat's right. The first few episodes are about Odd Jobs helping a man rebuild his life (which leads to the plot about the earthquake machine), and afterwards is the setup for the series. And I totally agree with Pat, the beginning of the series is so weird that it's difficult to tell how much you like it. But if you give it time, then I would say it's worth it.

I'm actually glad I jumped into the later episodes(I think it was the snow sculpture contest episode that was my first) and kept watching early on before I decided to check out the first 10 episodes a few years later. If I did start with the first 10 episodes, I would've stopped at the first 5.

The first few episodes, and to a lesser extent, the first season, are pretty weak compared to later seasons, so jumping in cold like that is rough.

If at all possible could you upload the bit of Matt talking to Pat about Congo and Pat fucking losing it over the monkeys getting sawed in half? I think it was the episode Now That's Hip Hop

Um...yea Gintama...i don't know to recommend it or not I liked it sorta but the japonez humor dosent do anything for my but the part were they adres stuff about manga and anime and 4th wall breaking are really good so I have mixed feelings about it

It's not a show I would universally recommend; you really have to appreciate the Japanese sense of humor. Honestly Matt would probably like it more than Pat if he was able to give it enough of a chance to get into it.
