This show really captures how getting your first bike feels. I see the same joy and exceitment as i saw in my girlfriend when i got her her first bike and she learned to ride.

A delightfully wholesome series. I hope we get a Season 2, as there is plenty of source material in the novels and manga to draw upon. You may be interested to hear that Reiko has her own spin-off manga series, just started, titled Super Cub Rei. It follows Reiko moving into her father's cabin and her early days prior to her meeting Koguma. It looks promising.

She's literally me, from the first sentences she said in episode one to the last episode, to how she behaves and speaks. We basically have the same age, hair and eye color, we both have short hair, and we both look dead inside and speak in a monotonous voice (sadly im not a girl). But the thing that resonates with me the most is how her feelings are portrayed, just like you said in the video. This anime not only hit home, but through the window on my second floor and hit me straight in the face. I honestly felt like I was developing with her throughout the story, especially the ending part in the last episode... like... damn... did truck-kun just hit me or something? Those words struck me so hard I actually couldn't stop thinking about them for like a week straight... I'm so delighted that you made a video about this anime, cause it's really underrated imo. and also you explained a lot without spoiling much about the anime itself. I actually started loving motorcycles after watching Super Cub and feel like getting one myself... ah i love this anime so much _I cant help but wonder what's going on in her head during the silent parts while she's riding her cub or staying at home..._

Update..I have returned to Japan..AND!..have visited some of the real life locations used for the show..Was surreal!...Also visited sites for "Bocchi The Rock", "Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid" and "Non Non Biyori".

Another beautiful aspect of Super Cub is the soundtrack: not just the ones made for the show, but the use of classical music pieces like Debussy's Claire de Lune, Satie's Je te Veux and Gymnopedie #1, Vivaldi's "Winter" theme from the "Seasons", and Elgar's Liebesgruß. Plus, Super Cub was premiered on Spring 2021, right after Yuru Camp Season 2, so for an iyashikei fan like me, I got the chance to spend the first half of 2021 in Yamanashi prefecture - despite the Corona-induced lockdown. Koguma's smile makes MY life brighter. I am not a bike enthusiast, my friend showed me this anime and they have a motorbike. However, I do love slice of life anime; the slower, the better. So this one really appealed to me when they described it as "It's about a girl who gets a Honda Super Cub." As of this comment, we are on episode 3. It's such a cute show; I love every minute of it!

I only have two anime on DVD. Super Cub was the first Blu-ray I ever bought. An all-time favorite. Good job on your editing and review!

I also loved this anime. It gave me a sense of nostalgia of when I got my first bicycle. Going out and exploring new places, and finding new uses for it.

So many people around the world, like me, first found mobile freedom on a Super Cub, and can relate to this anime. More than an ad, I see it as a celebration of this most popular people's transportation in history. For this reason, I can imagine this series becoming something of a classic as more people discover it. I cannot stress how much the show resonates with me as a motorcycle rider. They captured the feeling of buying your first bike perfectly. It also helps that coming of age slice of life is literally my favorite genre.

My opinion the beauty of this anime can be sum up by a quote from Mr.Regular from regular car reviews, it's something along the lines of car story is people's story, it's the story of people's journey through life. And i find it perfectly applicable in this anime

I also love the fact that the backdrops for the show are of real places....If I ever get back to Japan I will try to make sure I visit some of the locations.

I am new to Japanese anime...and have only watched 3 complete shows so far.."K-On!", "Bocchi the Rock" and "Super Cub"...and I adored them all.......But "Super Cub" was something different.....It did exactly what is said on the packet as the saying goes......Was so chill relaxing, and even fun in parts..and made me smile..and that is what I look for..."Slice of life" I feel is my genre...I'm not looking for horror, gore and action...had enough of that..I just want to feel good. And "Super Cub" did that..I don't believe it was completely an ad for Honda..I hear they gave techinal advice to make sure the mechanics and details were correct...but that's is...I don't believe they were behind the making of it....I just wish I knew about it before my trip to Japan.....I would have certainly brought some merch and manga etc....Also for me ..the music....It's beautiful...and helped alot set the tone of the show....The OST is one of the best scores for any show..or movie I've ever heard...I hope for a second series..But I doubt it will happen..Which is such a shame...As I need more of this truely beautifuly executed show...I am about to start "Laid-Back Camp" as I brought some of the manga while in Japan.

Can't believe you didn't mention Bakuon! , it's the closest thing to this and is also a love letter to bikers, with every episode highlighting a side of owning the bike. This seemed very much inspired by it Bakuon! is actually the reason I want to watch super cub

I have 3 honda cub the honda dash 110...dash 125 and ex5 dream....i live in malaysia motocub really popular in east asia....there also yamaha motocub like the yamaha lc135...yamaha ez....and yamaha lagenda....yamaha lc135 has liquid cooler like the sport bike but its a motocub like honda cc110...ct125 and super cub

Not just a Honda commercial? It's not a Honda commercial at all! Honda did not sponsor this anime. Honda gave them the permission to use the designs, that's all. Why would Honda want to advertise some older model type Super Cubs that they don't make anymore? It would be like Apple making an commercial for some Macintosh from the 80s.

I finished watching this anime a few weeks back and I loved it but the question that I wondered was how did she pay for her rent utilities and food. If her mother abandon her?

I know it wasn’t an at, but I still bought a super cub. Granted I had been wanting one for years, the anime just served as a sign that I should. It really brought color back to my life during the lockdowns. It’s not the fastest or the coolest ( I think it is) but it’s my lovely cub
