Ingredients:
100g All Purpose Flour
90g Sugar
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1/4 tsp. Salt
2 Eggs (from eggs that weigh 62g each with shell)
100g Melted Unsalted Butter
40g All Purpose Flour
45g Sugar
1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
10g Cocoa Powder
1 Egg
50g Vegetable Oil
Pan size 20cm x 10 cm x 6.5cm.

I've made this cake several times, and it's definitely my favorite. By following the steps and respecting the measurements, it always turns out the same. The only difference is that my oven needs more time to bake it properly. Despite this, the result is always perfect: a fluffy and delicious cake that never fails.

Hi Michael, I noticed the chocolate batter only uses oil, so I'm wondering if it's possible to replace the melted butter with oil in the yellow batter mix too?

Butter contributes a distinct aroma and flavour to baked goods that oil cannot replicate. While you can replace butter with oil in many recipes for texture and moisture, there will be a noticeable difference in flavour and sometimes in the overall mouthfeel of the baked product.

In the cocoa batter he used oil instead of melted butter.

The chocolate batter requires less flour. I use oil instead of melted butter for this chocolate batter, to help keep it moist and tender.

How come my cake doesn’t rise so well like yours, sometimes even shrink down, specially when the batter is on the wet side like this one…(my Baking powder is always fresh). Your advice please 🙏🏻 ❤

There could be several reasons why your cake isn't rising properly or shrinking, even with fresh baking powder. Without your recipe, it's difficult to provide specific advice. If the batter is too wet, it could interfere with rising. Wet batters can weigh down a cake, preventing it from rising properly. For your information, my recipe doesn't contain any wet ingredients, such as milk, except for eggs.
