That looks soooooooo good. My mom always cut a big slit down the center before the sauce went on so that once the sauce was added and it was cooking the sauce would bake into the interior of the meatloaf. Love your joy at the little things and your beautiful smile.❤

My moms meatloaf is so good. She adds most of the same things to the meat as you do but she adds a cup of crushed saltine crackers and 1/4 can of tomato soup. Then we use the other half of the tomato soup in a bowl with 2 tablespoons brown sugar , 2 tablespoons white vinegar, 2 tablespoons mustard and 1 cup water. You bake the meatloaf for 45 mins then pour the sauce over and cover with tinfoil and bake 1 hr. It’s so moist and so good. Sauce is great on potatoes too. I think I’m going to make this tomorrow lol.

You should try adding fresh vegetables to your meatloaf. It’s a summer game changer. Peppers, squash, zucchini, spinach…anything veggies of your liking it’s delicious.

I get why you thought that but what she said was basically for every pound of hamburger she added a pound of pork. Each “tube” contain a pound. Looked like she had 4lbs total.

She always gives the ingredient list for a "normal" or regular size recipe she usually triples or quadruples those recipes. Looks like 4 lbs of meat in her bowl.

Instead of catsup, my dad would use sweet-ish barbecue sauce in the loaf and on top. He used and entire pound of sharp cheddar cheese, diced onions, Ritz crackers, and everything else this woman did. It was so good, different kids would come home with me on weekends just to have this amazing home-cooked meal. Then, we take the leftovers back to school to share.

Mama, I love this recipe. I make a large meatloaf like this and freeze some. It makes my family of 4 about 3 meals plus some meatloaf sandwiches, my husband's favorite! ❤

I love ketchup brown sugar dab of mustard splash of woisture sauce and it is sooo good caramelizes so good on top but don't put on til half cooked through. Save some for dipping.

My fiancés friends were playing cards at my house so I made meatloaf and I added brown rice (that I cooked in chicken broth) and used stuffing mix as the breadcrumbs. It was SO GOOD! I also put a brown sugar glaze (brown sugar and butter melted) SO SO GOOD! I recommend ❤
