NSMB wii is sooooo nostalgic for me but I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I played through 90% of the game with my friends so tbh I may appreciate it more for the memories it helped me make than for the game itself

I love your channel and all your videos and have the same experience as you growing up on first the N64, then the GameCube, and Majora's Mask is the best game of all time. I agree that New Super Mario Bros. doesn't develop on the older ones as much as they should (although I love the flying squirrel in New Super Mario Bros. U and its theme song). But HOW did you not talk about 3D Land more? I grew up on Super Mario 64, Paper Mario, Banjo Kazooie, Rayman 2, Ocarina of Time, etc. Super Mario 3D Land on the 3DS was THE FUCKING BOMB. That game is just SO FUN. Just like 3D World, as you did mention.

actually, the US super mario bros. 2 was started before the japanese smb2. they wanted to experiment with vertical scroling. due to tecnical limitations, it was scrapped until foogi TV asked nintendo to make a tie in game for their anual convention and that became dokey dokey panic.

Galaxy and galaxy 2 are by far the best Mario games I've played. And no It's not the same shit. Although they're very similar, Galaxy 2 had everything the first one had and even more. As someone who's cleared both Galaxy games (I guess not the first one because you LITERALLY had to play the game twice to get 1 last star), I can say that Galaxy 2 is the best and has a surprising amount of additionall features! Great Vid! :D

Pretty on point. I'm surprised you didn't mention that with NSMB2 that they even copied the OST from NSMBW also. I think the NSMB games after the DS are kinda bad, but NSMB2 was absolutely abysmal for me and even a more noticeable step down from Wii & U also. Agree with you for sure on the 3D ones, though I'm not the biggest fan of 3D Land & World (they're okay at least).

All of your complaints about NSMBWii, are exactly the things they were going for. It was supposed to be a throwback game with bits from all the previous 2D games. That’s what I loved about it. Everybody was doing throwbacks back then. And also I never thought they’d even release another 2D game, since SMW was the last one. And I was a kid then, so me in my 20s was ready for that shit.
