A great bonus tip is to use the Lucky Hammer for Mario, While kind of weak, its bonus is that a timed hit gives a lucky bonus, meaning there is a 50% chance you get ANOTHER double exp bonus, meaning for exp booster users, it can give 240-480, or just 120-240 for the rest of the party, which is insanely OP.

yea i did that method with lucky hammer when doing a second playthrough to see how quick i could get all to level 30 and i notice it i was 2 hours faster then first time

Good tip! Honestly, this game has really good pacing when it comes to leveling up throughout the game. Square did a great job with making an RPG for any skill level (even if it is a bit on the easy side).

Hello! Alot of people seem to be talking about the lucky hammer! Funny thing is, you can just use the lucky item u get before getting peaches ulimate weapon! Marios stat wont be horrendous to lol

I got this game for Christmas and it's fun but i'm stuck with grinding because i'm lvl 5 and i'm in a area where i keep losing each time kinda annoying that you just take 37 damage with max hp at 46 at this time of playing.

I am at level 18 at 3D culex right now , hes the only postgame boss i have left. I havent done an honest/serious try yet but i am starting to think i am a bit low so i am considering to level up to 20 or 22 or so

Yeaah 3D culex can be very tough especislly if your not abusing 100 super Jumps. I would recommend levelling to like atleast 25. It wont take too long :)

I never knew this game got a remake and my sister bought it and it was very fun I did spend to much time killing people as most people are fighting culex at like 20 I was 30 lol took me 53 turns mostly resurrecting

I just fight every combat encounter I can while I go through the game. Except for infinitely respawning enemies, anyway. I'm just about to the factory and I'm already at level 27 without even trying. Granted it's probably taken me longer to get to that point than most people, but I don't mind.

use lucky jewel with this system all all the normal spearvich will give double exp as long as you can get the yoshi all the time

If you do use the lucky jewel it will eventually break. I just found this out the hard way. I think the lucky hammer might be better to use possibly because of this.

@@Captain_Char hmm yeah I think it might be something only in the remake that happens, not entirely sure about that though. From looking around online I only saw mentions of the jewel breaking from very recently, so I’m going off of that.

No even on the SNES game it ONLY had 10 uses before it breaks the only other way is to buy the Crappy Lucky Hammer AFTER Beating Yari/Speardovich but its NOT worth its 500 Coin cost since its Attack power is even LOWER then the Hammer Bros hammer so its damage sucks.

@@veghesther3204 oh okay, sorry I guess I was wrong about the jewel only breaking in the remake. I mean I used the lucky hammer to grind all of my characters to level 30 and yeah even though the damage sucks I still got around it by using Mario’s normal jump attack and it did the job. I’m not gonna use the lucky hammer again since I’ve maxed out everyone’s levels, but I mean it’s infinite use for getting the lucky status for the minigame so it has some use. Although obviously I would way rather use the lucky jewel if it had infinite uses.

Its still stupid that the max level's 30, i want it to be like 50.

I was quite surprised they kept it at 30 with the added post game content, but they did make the content to scale well to still capping at level 30. But i do agree it was a weird level cap they went with!
