I can't believe him having super armor on some of his moves, something that everyone seems to hate, actually stays true to his character.

King K. Rool was my most wanted character at the time and I was overjoyed when he was announced. His moveset was exactly how I imagined it would be (besides the Belly Armour). The boxing gloves, the blunderbuss, the crown, the propeller pack. He’s now one of my mains. It would’ve been cool if he has Gangplank Galleon as a stage, however, but other that that, welcome aboard, King K. Rool!

You forgot about the up-tilt, which is the same punching animation he uses against Chunky in that portion of the DK64 final boss fight. Also, his walking animation is similar to his walk in one of the cutscenes in DK64, when he's pacing back and forth.

I loved how his final smash was literally a recreation of the DK64 game over,and even better,it actually shows the Island being destroyed by the laser.

Let’s hope that Retro Games company will add King K Rool in the future Donkey Kong Country Games instead the new villains like Tikis and Vikings

Nintendo really ought to include more Donkey Kong characters in more of their games. While the Mario spinoffs get littered with babies and basic enemies, characters like King K Rool, Funky Kong, Candy Kong, Dixie Kong, Lanky Kong, Tiny Kong & Chunky Kong get left in the dust

Actually, blue K. Rool is based on K. Rool from some old Donkey Kong Country manga/comic (I don't exactly remember). K. Rool was blue instead of green in that one.

king k rool is a very curious character from SSBU, when they told me about him I did not think he would be so big and fat, but he is very cool, I thought he only appeared in DK country 1 but I see that he is very popular and walks with a lot of swag XD

7:28 I think that skin is actually meant to be interpreted as K. Rool's version of Super Kong from Donkey Kong Country Returns. Like Super Kong, he has a white body with blue clothing.
