As a bowser main, I am proud to say the longest of those combos only did 43%; roughly ~1/3rd to 1/5th of a bowser stock.

@@user-we9pt4xg4j As a shulk secondary I think that shulk kind of pisses over all heavies and in general characters with poor startup. Bowser doesn't have a whole lot to stop shulk ye, everything he has is either too slow or doesn't reach far enough.

they should rex as an echo to shulk, neutral b would be anchorshot, having a chance to make the opponent fall or let's you switch between pyra and mythra, making anchorshot side b. down b would be still be a counter, but it would be mythra's foresight, and the final smash could either be chain attack except with Rex's team instead of shulk's or one of the maxed out arts that are activated by the a button (I forget what they're called)

You would think these arts don’t last very long at all and have very long cooldowns but then the genius hits you: These arts actually have very similar cool down times to the arts in Xenoblade Chronicles

Shulk would literally become one of the most oppressive characters in the entire series lol. Adding 2 seconds to smash art would be grossly OP

If they lower the cooldown on shield monado it would make his combo escape game very oppressive to the combo characters cast. Sounds too cheesy to improve _too_ much. Also would make his camp game retarded since most of these arts allow him to run away or trade better.

i came across shulk after having an existential crisis that "getting good" with mac is impossible because you are just dead offstage. I played a *bunch* against a friend using shulk and its so much fun using him. I fucking suck though, so i came across to searching for shulk guides and holy shit have you opened my eyes sir. I cant wait to put a spin on my shulk! Maybe style on my friends whilst im at it! there's so much to shulk that i have to learn but im willing to put up with it! Thanks for making this video and i hope you make many more like these!

you can press the y button and the a button with your thumb at the same time. Meaning that shorthop aerials are rather easy. When fastfalling though, they still cancel so quickly that you don't hit them.

I remember watching your Shulk 101 and MALLC tutorial with Smash 4 and they really helped me get my Shulk on the right track to compete. Shulk felt really off to me in Ultimate and I was really tempted to drop him, but videos like this give me the motivation to keep pushing with him and adapt. Thanks for the video, Jerm!

Bruh shulk’s neutral air is actually one of the best in the game. Can be used in neutral, combo starter, comboed into itself, combo extender, stupid range, kinda spammable, starts and reaches from behind, hits grounded opponents, basically everything

Oof I never knew there was THIS much Shulk tech. It's gonna take a while to learn this character. The most surprising thing here is either that you can live Luigi super uppercut at 180 or that smash kills wolf at 22 at ledge

Distant King coming w/ the Shulk heat as usual. As an extension or a part 2 it'd be dope to see a section on dial-tech/dial-storage as it's probably going become a mainstay in Shulk's kit at higher levels of play. The utility it has in regards to hit-confirms and baits from aerials is looking pretty nasty. Had no idea you were Jerm, the link player either lmao.

Monado Purge is still a thing if you initiate with up tilt instead. It’s one of my most reliable kill options!

Shield art can also help you in sudden death, I was able to withstand a few hits with it activating buster before using your final smash does more damage than it does without it. Im sure you know what smash would do if you activate it before your final smash.

So basically, his arts can be groups into three categories: 1- Defensive Arts (Jump and Shield): 6 second duration, 18 second cooldown. 2- Offensive Arts (Speed and Smash): 8 second duration, 16 second cooldown. 3- Buster: In a class of its own. 10 second duration, 14 second cooldown. That should make it easy to remember.
