As a happy owner of a 2018 Tenere ES I will say that for moto camping it is darn near perfect 👍 You can pack it like a mule and she won’t complain 😎

Nice to see you are enjoying your trip!! I have not done any cross country on my Super Tenere. Just "short" 500 milers away from home. My last cross country was on my Ninja 650R back in the early 2000's. You are inspiring me to get back at it!! Thank you for sharing your ride.

Awesome to see the ST in action! Also very awesome that your son is making sure you're rested, fed, and on fresh oil! Good on him.

I hope the Super Tenerer works for you. I'm 63 and have had heart surgery and I can lift the bike if it falls over. Helps to use the right technique. I would not use the bike for serious off road but it is very excellent on both pavement, gravel and mild off road. Good luck!

I'm 62. 5'10 It's a fantastic motorcycle. Awesome on tarmac and gravel roads. Terrific fuel range. A very quick and agile bike to ride.

Have to hand it to you sleeping in a tent after slabbing all of those miles. I'm either looking for a HIE or Hampton Inn to rest up in; AC blasting, and a comfortable bed. Great video though, I had a 2012 ST and really enjoyed it. I installed an aftermarket cruise control on it and put a lot of miles on it. Always thought about getting another, but I'm enjoying this K1600 right now, but you never know. Looking forward to watching the rest of your trip.

Most people comment on wanting the bike. I'm an irishman in Dubai. I just want those open roads of America. Yes. I have Europe but you can be from one end to other in ten days. I just want to turn right and keep going.

Just did 1400 miles in three days. No border crossings, gas stations everywhere, we are blessed here in the good old USA.

I just stumbled across your channel (YT algorithm). I live just south of Ft Wayne (Markle)! Based on your take off point id say youre from Spencerville area? Very awesome looking trip. I cannot wait to take my S10 on her first big ride! Cheers!

I've wondered if there's another Super Tenere around. Yes I'm near Spencerville. Almost every ride I go through their covered bridge. kzfaq.info/love/cX23Hhl9ZxK3bDXdAdjWKQcommunity

Small advice, if you keep your phone there, It will be broken by the vibration, with any bike you drive. I would highly recommend to use a car play screen or another old phone for your rides mate.

I'm using a Quadlock vibration dampener but I wonder if it really is safe.
@yunusture95279 ай бұрын
Never used that dampener but saw a few people that replaced their Iphone's cameras after this issue 1 person was using GS and one was using Super Tenere

Just stumbled across your videos - thanks for uploading them! I see you on some of my roads in MO. I have the same exact bike (2015 ES, red) and did a 7 day 3400 mile trip in May. I did the old Saddle Sore 1000 the month before that. Very hard to beat the S10 for long hauling. It is so comfortable, has plenty of power, great mpg and never dies. I just did the ECU reflash and would highly recommend it if you haven’t already. Just irons out a few stock wrinkles. Wanted to ask - which windshield are you running there? Stock seems to work well for me, but will always look for more wind protection. Again, thanks for the upload. Ride on!

Thanks for the comment! Missouri has some great roads, I always want to spend more time there when I'm zipping through. The ECU flash is very tempting. I'm getting tired of the fork dive every time I let off the throttle just a little. Especially in Sport mode. The screen is a Puig Touring. Does a great job for me. I'm 5'11" and it gets the wind right over the helmet just fine. There is a lot of buffeting on the side though at highway speeds which is pretty noisy. I've got a cheap HJC i90 modular helmet which doesn't help on the noise. A good set of ear plugs makes a huge difference. I'm with you on the S10, I love the bike and never having to worry about a catastrophic breakdown in the middle of nowhere. I do solo riding almost exclusively and want to be on the most reliable bike I can get.

I've been thinking about "downsizing" to the Super Tenere. Looks a LOT lighter than the Star Venture TC.....
@NunyaBusiness...7 ай бұрын
With nothing on it Yamaha claims a wet weight of 575 lbs. It's not light, but it's got the weight low slung and doesn't feel as heavy as the paper says.

have a 2017 - thanks for sharing - what highway pegs do you have mounted?
@SwampGeezer11 ай бұрын
Pretty sure they are from a company called Happy Trails, out of Idaho. The prior owner put them on so not completely sure. They look a little different than the current version on the web site. www.happy-trail.com/happy-trails-adj-universal-clamp-on-highway-pegs-for-1-tubing.html
