This are awesome. And anyone wondering, yes these will work with your car radio, but to make them sound the best, you should use a small amplifier with them. All speakers sound way better with an amp, so long as they can handle the power and it's set up correctly

I know this was year ago but I finally got mine installed for center fill and it pulls the front stage together so well. Little power houses for sure.

I've just started my speaker layout. I have sundown et-r1, 2.75, 6.5 neos, x12v3 running on a 200x4 sia,sia2500. Just finishing the wiring off.

Purchased these almost a year ago. I crossed them over at 150. 😢 but they’re still playing today.

These speakers also work on the 2014-2018 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra dash speakers.

OH THANK GOD! DROP INS! About time man! THANK YOU! However.... You know what I would really like to hear? These playing and tuned in a car with a S.Q Microphone in a proper set up. Or simply in a small bookshelf speaker made for them. On camera, they sound simply okay even on the Hero's microphone. Thank you for showing them as I would really like some drop ins for my PT. But that large magnet might be a deal breaker. But I will see. One thing that would be nice is that if you can include with your speakers that play in the 100hz and up bands an audio file of the driver in play on some reference equipment and maybe some DSP curves to use to get the best out of the drivers. Also recommended parts for setup. It would really be a game changer to be able to have these things so that you know what works where. I'm more into S.Q. these days, but I really wish things were drop in. easy. And had some recommended enclosure designs for mounting in cars. Most drivers, we have to use free air, so with the added complexity of a enclosure in my dash space, it would be nice to know these things to get the most out of them. Also, could you give us a recommendation of a 3 way setup with these? I'm ready to get a pair if I sort of knew what parts work best with this driver. I hope these drop in to my Tight location in my dash where the old tweeters are. Godsend for those LHS owners.

I’ve already got mine. If not I would definitely be interested in these. Keep up the good work. Glad you said something about how much they are. This would be awesome mounted in custom dash pods. If you keep them pointed on axis you could probably get away without using a tweeter.

GM has been using this size in the dash of many of their vehicle for a few years now. I have the v1's of these in a 2015 Silverado, but maybe due for an upgrade!

Got an 05' Nissan pathfinder w/o the Bose system. Im ordering a pair now my 2020 kia has front dash holders for 2.75. I used the Kenwood 2.75. Those sound better than mine and this is on KZfaq. Mine are 50w rms. Damn those sound good

Quick question, would this be a direct fit for the corner dash speakers in a 2015 WRX? I can’t seem to find any info on corner speakers besides the kicker tweeter upgrade.

The 1st gen of these were amazing with the xbl2 motor. Very low distortion.

What material is the cone? It's shinier then the V1s. I was one of the 13/14 people that was given a set of the V1s in favor of a review on DIYMA. I used them in a 3way with the 6.5V2s. I do like the size of the motors in the V1s better as well they had an inline crossover with them. But....$55! I'll be getting me a set of these too.

In a small enclosure theyd probabaly sound 10x better but if they sound this good as is, i can only imagine. I'm debating between a pair of these in the pillars with some Vifa horn loaded soft dome tweeters tweeters. Or 3.5 inch Skar Audio coaxials in the pillars and those Vifa tweets

The ad on the website says this speaker has a built in crossover Capacitor. I can't see the capacitor in this video or the website photo. Can Sundown Audio or someone here confirm that there is a capacitor in this speaker?
