This video is actually a literal joke hahaha. These games are actually made for 5 year olds. The first time I played Demons souls, I didn't die once and that was my first. Dark souls 1, I didn't even take damage my first playthrough. Git gud and grow the fuck up, kids. smh.

SuperButterBuns lmao yes I am 😂. I agreed with pretty much everything you said. Demons souls ripped me a new one because that was my first. After hearing your points on Ds1, I think I'd agree. I have to replay Demon's sometime. Ds1 is my favorite lore-wise but I'd have to say Ds3 has the best gameplay and is the most polished. DS2 was trash imo. All quantity instead of quality. Very good video!

You know what? I was super into ds1 and i like to let my mum play first levels because why not, after all she likes to watch me play in the living room. DS2 was difficult not because of its levels or fight design. It was difficult because the developers, which were not the same team as DS1, 3 or bloodbourne, thought the definition of difficulty was just throwing a large amount of mobs at you. You also could only turn in 8 different corrections, unlike a full 360 degree turn, making movement near impossible on narrow passages and the hit boxes on both you and the enemies/bosses were completely random. Also, damage done from falling was inconsistent and it depended more on which area of the game you were in, not the actual distance fallen. Ultimately, it was the flaws in the development of the game that made it more difficult, not the game itself.
@tylerworrell4446
@tylerworrell4446 5 жыл бұрын
Dark Souls 2 was hard because of poor design choices. I feel like DS3 is hardest due to more complex boss movesets and it being faster paced. But I can definitely understand how DS2 feels much harder sometimes. It feels harder for me but I believe that DS3 is objectively the harder game even though it was easier for me to beat.

Armadyl Featherbreeze they arent the same story. If it was an age of water in bloodborne there would be emphasis on water. Kind of like how dark souls did with fire. @semiawesomatic6064
@semiawesomatic6064 6 жыл бұрын
Obadiah T does it really take place in the players dream? I mean, the hunters dream yeah, but the rest of the game? And in ds3, don't you join a covenant with emphasis on wolf blood? Or was that the abyss watchers? Maybe both? And they were searching for a cure to the curse of the soul by using blood. I think that's a reasonably strong tie. If I gotta find specifics I will, but I'm pretty sure that was a thing in ds3.

A few tips for new souls players that want to "get gud": 1. Weapon base damage isn't everything. Always go for the better stat scaling. NEVER use a raw stone weapon because it removes all stat scaling. 2. If you're having a hard time fighting a boss, back off a bit and study what moves they use when you're at a certain distance or position. Once you've figured them out you can use that to exploit them and punish when they wiff an attack. 3. Praise the sun.

Stamina management is a real thing, weapons break regularly, and the sheer volume of enemies is staggering. On top of that Eleum Loyce is the single hardest area in all of soulsborne, with huge sections of the map needed to be explored before you find a single bonfire and areas such as raindeer orgy gank fuck zone exist.

The thing that disappointed me the most, was when I figured out after 2 weeks that you could co op bosses with solaire and players, and that you could powerlevel in darkroot. If I had known those 2 things at the start, I would be much further along now. Hell, even knowing that slumbering dragon/ fog ring existed changed my entire gameplay. First time I played bloodborne I had a skill strength character and beat the hell out of most bosses pretty easily but my new arcane skill character makes smaller bosses easier but the bigger bosses get much harder. The only part that's really at all difficult is getting all the hollowing levels in time. How hollowing actually works is weird and you probably won't figure it out, but if you just talk to the guy every once in a while and die a reasonable amount you'll probably get the levels you need. After that you just need to not find Horace in the lake and tell Anri where he is while she's in that place, easy enough to do accidentally by missing the lake entirely or putting it off until you reach Irithyll and follow the instructions of the creepy lady and not do the Betrayal ending which is pretty easy.

I hate the git gud crowd. Not because it's not important but because about 80% of them never got gud themselves. They only say it to make themselves feel cool. The game was extremely hard for me at first and I rage quit maybe a dozen times. But I hate not beating a game and eventually made my way through and won. Now I effortlessly beat them and when I have an opportunity to help someone do the same I gladly do so. So now when I see some asshat tell a new player to git gud I just automatically assume that person has never beat a souls game and has no idea how offer advice so they just parrot what they saw the original souls badass say. Don't be that person treat others how you want and offer real advice when asked.

DS1 is probably the hardest for a completely blind playthrough due to how confusing it is and not starting with bonfire wrapping, but it's also the easiest once you have the knowledge. Bloodborne's the hardest overall because no shield, no arrows, no free healing, and PaPa G boss fight right in the beginning.

Randy Randalman im a dark souls noob playin ds3 and based off the short description you gave+what little i know, bloodborne will be the easiest for me cuz fuck sheilds fuck armor fuck ranged attacks fuck vigor (i have only 1 upgrade in it) go stamina and carry load all the way, fuck a good starting class (deprived all the way) and give me that maximum roll distance+a big fuckin sword and i am absolutely ripping the early game a new one (the catacombs made me frown a lot tho) has to be said i got to the abyss watchers on my first playthrough wasting every upgrade material i had not knowing/understanding (i still dont really) the crafting system and died waaaaay to much but now have yet to die to a boss. Iv seen people play bloodborne and i am simply drooling for that little dash thing they do, ill be invincible once i get it im absolutely sure :)... Or as close as it gets.

i did half&half for bloodborne, but took it upon myself to at least beat logarius with my own hands the first time. i died like 20 times to win, but just when i won i said "fuck, this is a lot easier than i thought". you just need to use your brain WHILE fighting to win, it isn't like other rpg where it's brain first and action later, or just straight up action like (most)fps or straight up only brains like most strategy games, you have to do a bit of both, and as long as you don't lose your cool, pretty much almost everything in the soulsborne media is going to be easy. i say almost, because then there are bosses like darkfuckeater midir which one shots you if you're not embered and you can do nothing about it unless you use pestilent mercury which you can indeed lose in your first playthrough, even easier is to miss it. but even he has ways to beat him and not let him trigger the one shots, it's just REEEEEAAAALLY time consuming, way more than almost every boss in any fromsoft game. oh btw, the fight is on my channel, nothing special if you don't consider that before that i died 20 times and only once i almost had it.

You know, Midir really isn't that difficult of a boss. He gives you a free opportunity for at LEAST 2 hits on his head (Ultra Greatsword user) after most attacks, and his moves are pretty easy to read. I honestly don't see why so many people think it is so insanely difficult and unfair. They must be attacking the limbs and tail, or not reacting to extremely obvious attack tells...

Doing half and half as well for BB. But, somehow, the hardest battles were for me alone (Such a luck!), or: even better: The summon dies before the boss reaches second phase, so now I have to face an enraged boss (succeeded) For DS3, fought with summons first playthrough, lost my savegames before Ringed City and had to start all over again; no summons this time. DS1 was my first game and I learned that you can summon at the end of the game...

Beethoven the most egregious is combining a Bloodborne-sized health pool, which expects near-constant aggression, with a Dark-Souls-style moveset, which expects you to be backing off, waiting for certain attacks, and then getting a couple hits in before backing off again. This makes the boss take forever. The combination of his quick back-kick and main swipe which you can't dodge if you're too close are the main contributors to this. This wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for his charge, which has an incredibly tight dodge window and one-shots you if you miss it, and his stomping flail which it's basically just chance whether you're going to be able to roll out from under it and if you can't then you die, because the hurtbox lasts longer than your i-frames. So you have a really long fight that can go from perfect to ended in an instant from a very minor mistake. Add onto that a second form which overall is much better designed but does a lot of damage with weird timings and attacks with similar wind-ups that would be great except you don't really have the opportunity to learn it because you only face it after clearing the crap-shoot of form 1. All together you have a bunch of things that aren't bad ideas on their own but work together to make a boss that just isn't at all fun to fight. I've also found he's much harder to fight with strength weapons than dex weapons, which isn't great in a boss as essential as he is. I didn't really mind him my first time through when I was using the Burial Blade and Blade of Mercy (he was hard but not nearly as unpleasant) but then on my second playthrough I realized just how many problems he had.

Exactly. I thought ds3 would be easy when I went from ds1, but it was the same shit. Trial and error while learning enemy patterns. I disagree with the “hardest souls game is the first”, because in each game the enemies are different and you have to learn them. The only thing I brought with me from ds1 was understanding this, and learning to die over and over while learning the patterns.

I totally understand that part of what makes DaS1 so appealing is the struggle to find each bonfire on your first ever playthrough. But I prefer that DaS2 made all other playthroughs more fun. Bonfire Placement in DaS2 is maligned unfairly and represented poorly, often without context. The only obvious complaint is frequency of placement, which I agree with, because it lessens the stressful adventuring needed to find each coveted bonfire on a your first ever playthrough. But I got over that small disappointment and loved the bonfire SYSTEM for how it improves future playthroughs. Why? Bonfire Ascetics. Unusual builds could be created early game by accessing the new game + armory using Bonfire Ascetics. This moderately uncommon item can be burned, as often as desired, in a Bonfire so that the nearby area is permanently increased in level to the next higher new game +, which resets the area items and boss. This causes weapons and items, especially those that appear only in new game + or above, to become available in your first runthrough. From Software situated bonfires in DaS2 so that a single use of this powerful item wouldn't reset the loot from too large of an area or effect multiple bosses. Ascetics are the key to getting to play with whatever gear you want sooner than any other Souldbourne game.
