Shoutout to Touhou, the longest running indie game series, which has music so iconic it may very well have the most remixes of any video game franchise ever. The amount of dedicated Touhou music arrangement groups is insane. There is a music collection torrent larger than a terabyte. Additionally, Touhou was a major inspiration for Toby Fox. You can see a lot of its influence in Undertale's music, world, and gameplay!

You just can't pull that stuff out of your ASSets folder... This subtle humor is the quality content I'm here for and I love you so much for it... #noticemeBuns

The Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 OSTs are by far my favorite pieces of video game music ever written. Mario music usually is viewed as cutsie and bubbly, and whatnot. But the Galaxy soundtracks... oh my lord does the orchestra give us some miraculous songs. Gusty Garden, Melty Monster, Space Junk Road, *both* Credits Themes, etc. If you have never really listened to Nintendo music, trust me when I say you *must* listen to the Galaxy soundtracks; they're sublime.

TWEWY ost slaps every single track is a bop

I’ve started watching an anime called Kill la Kill. There are points that I’m not as hyped up as I should be until the music starts playing. Then I’m ready for a good fight.

Okay... The World Ends With You has one of the greatest soundtracks of all time and every additional arrange or remixed soundtrack they've added over the years has only made it better. Mother 3's soundtrack is a masterpiece. They put over 250 tracks on a GBA cartridge and almost all of them are excellent. Breath of the Wild has one of the most underrated soundtracks in the Series but the Entire Zelda Franchise has some god tier composition The Afforementioned Nier and Nier Automata is next level at capturing and conveying the mood of the series The Entire Entire Castlevania Franchise is filled to the brim with awesome music from the recognizeable and iconic tracks to even the more obscure bops. Special Mentions goes to Order of Ecclesia for having the most consistent tracklist of heavy hitters in the series (at least for me). Seriously Michiru Yamane is easily my favourite female composer, she only makes gold. Advanced War has and always will have some of the most catchy and memorable character themes in the industry and you can fight me on that. Even the heavily underrated Days of Ruin has nothing but excellent themes from top to bottom. Special mention to Brenner's theme for going the hardest 24/7. Final Fantasy got a lot of Love but Shoutouts to Tactics and Tactics advances for the intense mood setting tracks and absolutely lovely compositions respectively. Metroid. METROID. Nothing nails that atmosphere and catchiness quite like this series. Between totally bangers and songs that just wisk you away to an unknown and almost relaxing vibe, Metroid is definitely on the top of the stack. Every Ace Attorney Soundtrack slaps and amplifies each wacky or intense scenario. Ace Attorney wouldn't be what it is without it's soundtrack. Do I need to mention persona? Look there is no bad persona soundtrack, in fact you'd be hard pressed to find a bad SMT soundtrack. Although i feel incline to bring attention to the Devil Survivor series both games have the kind of soundtrack that sets the mood of the entire game although DeSu 2 definitely takes the cake out of the two. *Wheeeeeeeeze* Alright that's all i can muster for now.

I cheered when you brought up Persona OSTs XD Persona 3 and later 5 convinced me that video game music is legit music and nobody can change my mind, YOU HEaR ME?!

But there's one piece of music everybody enjoys... Disc 11- Stal

Yeah, the soundtracks of the Nier games are definitely some of my favs. Those tracks both stand out on their own and add so much to the scenarios they are a part in. Also, one soundtrack I've really liked that wasn't featured here is the soundtrack for Night in The Woods. That game has some music in it that sounds so homely and calm.

There are video game soundtracks that I listen to more times than most songs on the radio. Especialy Metal Gear Rising and Persona 5.

Hollow knight’s “Greenpath” soundtrack is adorable and sweet with a sense of mystery. I love it. Give it a listen Buns.

I've always loved the Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 soundtracks. The electronic and orchestra is very diverse and range from silly and whimsical to surprisingly sad and lonely at times. There's not much story but they capture the mood and environments perfectly.

Ace Attorney's ost is fantastic. Makes legal discussion feel like some sort of battle you get by on the skin of your teeth.

The soundtrack to Hollow Knight made the game such a magical fuckin experience for me. It made it feel like such an adventure and brought so much life to the desolate world. It’s fuckin awesome.

Well, if I’m able to state the gaming music that always makes me happy/excited. It’s just Kirby soundtracks Honestly Kirby games probably have my favorite soundtracks, that vary tons thanks to the different situations that pink fluffy fuck gets into. Especially the boss themes Could literally write an essay about the boss themes

Xenoblade Chronicles has too many grand tracks to count and really sets the mood for wandering around and just sets the cutscenes up

The Golden Sun franchise has my favorite OST, and it will stay that way for a very long time. Wait, the KH games have more than just original songs? KINGDOM HEARTS HAS MY FAVORITE OST NOW!!!

Xenoblade chronicles ost is God slayer worth favorite include garu plains, you will know our names, mechonis field, mechanical rhythms. I've been playing super mario rpg and the ost damn that forest theme.

The .Hack G.U. series music gave me the most beautiful form of auditory PTSD. I tear up just remembering it.

Octopath Traveler. If you havent listened to it, go do so. Its fantastic.

DMC 5 and Bloodborne. Easily two of my favorite OSTs right there

The Persona series ost is my absolute favorite I also love the soundtracks from the Silent Hill series, Danagnronpa, Fallout and The Legend of Zelda

Ten years ago, I never would have thought a video like this would exist. Growing up, I was picked on a lot for the fact that I enjoy video game music so much and that even to this day, it's most of what I listen to. It wasn't until a couple years ago that I finally met someone incredible who shared my passion for video game music, especially music from the Persona series, but seeing now that people like you are expressing their love and passion for these works of art is an absolute breath of fresh air, if you ask me. I've always loved video game music. Even as a little kid, I'd pause games on my GameBoy to listen to songs from certain areas, and now I compose my own OSTs from years of obsession with video game music. Seeing more and more people openly expressing their love for these masterpieces makes me happy. Everyone deserves to have something to be passionate about. Passion is what makes life worth living, as long as that passion doesn't involve hurting others or putting other people's opinions down. (Like you said, music is subjective. Everyone's allowed to like whatever they like.) All this is to say thank you. This video hits home for me in such a positive way, and I really appreciate it.

"Eyes on Me" from FF8 really got stuck in my head somehow after finishing tha fantastic game. Up to this day that song is the only one I can instantly remember for songs from that game.

I will always love the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon soundtrack. It always have that adventurous feeling to the dungeons and even the music that plays at certain events in the game makes the stakes that much greater. Not to mention the goodbye songs and the final boss music is *damn good* I highly recommend playing the games. It's really good.

Okami - Shout outs in particular to Reset -Thank You-, The Sun Rises, and Reset. Hits you right in the feels at the right moment during this beautiful game even when the land is a giant cursed zone. Also if you need music while you're sitting and watching a bird/dog/cat/tiger/etc. eat, this game has got your zen. Also, little played games, Trauma Center and Trauma Team. If you gotta play medical simulators with some music in the background, but goodness. Sigh of Relief, GUILT, Savato, Vulnerability, Dr. Cunningham's themes whenever you play Diagnosis, Dr. Kimishima's themes while solving ~murders~, anything related to name I cannot mention because I don't wanna spoil, but uuugh. Love it.

For me, I love Pokémon Sword and Shields Gym Leader theme. Like holy shit it’s amazing. It’s so fast-pass and really makes you feel like your putting on a show that thousands of people that are watching. It’s also very different from any other Pokémon OST ever, like including the anime and movies and I can really appreciate that. It’s just really good haha

MY OPINION TIME! Splatoon's music is a BOP! also Ni no kuni's songs just give that passion in you that feels so good

The World Ends With You is one of my favorite games of all time, with my favorite video game soundtrack of all time.

Bloodborne's ost has to be my favorite video game ost. Those violins and latin vocals chanting about death and blood just tickle me in places I didn't even know existed. Plus I'm just a sucker when it comes to things like gothic victorian horror and lovecraftian horror.

Ezio's family from assassins creed 2 is my favorite probably because of nostalgia.

I love the ost for the Xenoblade series (Xenogears included) and it might be "mainstream" but the STH franchise with it's ost has usually been sublime throughout many games (hyper potions and Crush40 really do know what they doing). Castlevania is still in a league of it's own tho imo!.

This taste in VGM... *kisses fingertips* I got the original *NieR* specifically because I heard its soundtrack was amazing. When they unexpectedly said they would release a sequel, I wondered how it could ever stand up to the original...and then I found out. Love them both; glad you paid lip service to the first one. "The Incomplete Stone" is so damn good! *Persona* ...they've always had great OSTs, but super happy you pointed out 3 and 5. I'm with you--I could listen to any song off of either one of them. Shout outs to the "I'm home" tracks. "Beneath the Mask" has become my go-to, rainy-day track in real life, and "Iwotodai Dorm" is the jelliest of jams ("MOVE EVERYBODY, MOVE THAT BODY/MAKE SURE YOU DON'T HURT NOBODY/I SAID HEY, HEY, HEY"). *Undertale* can get all the hate it wants, sure, but issa gud 1. Again, that lip service to some lesser known tracks like "Another Medium" is appreciated. And *Final Fantasy XIII* ...I keep telling people that this has one of the best soundtracks of the series, but say 13 in any phrase with Final Fantasy and your argument is invalid. I know you mentioned XIII-2, but still, thanks for that recognition. Now...I, like you, like things. And I like things like video game music you didn't mention. Deez is dems. *Chrono Trigger*--the timeless classic. I don't care where we are with video game music, there will never be a time where Chrono Trigger is not considered among the greatest soundtracks of all time. *Katamari Damacy*--I'm surprised you didn't mention this, especially after you mentioned soundtracks with lyrics...though perhaps the poppy style is not your thing. Still, I've never heard a catchier soundtrack to this day...and I've never even played the game. "OOOOOH, LONELY ROLLING STAAAAAAAR..." *Metroid Prime*--I've never had a game soundtrack give an atmosphere quite like this one. *Ys 8*--Ys is a niche series of action JRPGs that are known for their rocking, Power-Metal soundtracks. Shoutout to Ys Origins for being pure on it, but Ys 8 (the latest one) probably has the best variety of music in all of them. "Sunshine Coastline" is one of my favorite video game tracks from all of 2017 (and that's saying A LOT), and "Gen D'Armes" and "Night Survivor" are incredible, too. *Xenoblade Chronicles*--In my opinion, the greatest video game soundtrack ever made. It's hard to describe why; like most soundtracks, it really depends on whether you've played the game or not. But I've yet to hear a soundtrack that so beautifully informs each of the worlds the tunes are made for. With "Gaur Plains" on, I could run forever. As for a recommendation for OST, try *Xenoblade Chronicles X* ...it seems like it'd be right up your alley in terms of soundtrack. And Sonic Adventure 2. :P Anyways, thank you for this video. I love video game music, and this was a great celebration of it.

I love Warframe's This Is What You Are and We All Lift Together. They are great examples of free to play games coming out with amazing soundtracks.

Final Fantasy 6 on SNES opera. It didn't have vocals, exactly, but you could almost hear the words as they came on screen. It was brilliantly localized, and the audio, especially for the SNES, was fantastic.

Octopath traveler's OST is so good. It makes you feel feelings at each boss fight or story moment and it just fits the feel of the game extremely well. Decisive Battle II and Battle at Journey's End are my personal favs
