I know this is a couple years old but I didn't see anyone mention it, the larger threaded holes on the top and the driver side are inlet and outlet holes for a differential oil cooler

Did you cap the vent on the differential cover?

Other part number is probably an engineering number, I only know this because crank shaft pulley is same way.

Have you had any issues with the cover hitting the spare tire well????. I'm interested for my 2003 Mach 1

Thanks for the tips and heads up. I wouldn't have been aware the original bolts were not long enough. I have the same Ford finned diff cover sitting in front of me for an upcoming weekend project on my 06 Saleen supercharged GT. Apparently the oem ford bolt that would be long enough (part# E9SZ-4346-A) had been discontinued (need to confirm with my dealer in the morning) causing their price to jump from $3.00 a bolt to $10.00 a bolt online ($100+ for the needed x10). Do you have any more info on where you sourced the fasteners you used?

Where did you order the cover from? CJ Pony supplies the replacement bolts that fit the cover to the housing
