Today the Toyota Tacoma PreLander build gets some power upgrades in the form of a Magnuson Supercharger, AFE Y-Pipe and a Corsa Cat Back Exhaust. Jared starts this project by removing a bunch of stock parts and installing some more substantial cooling. A heat exchanger, electronic water pump and the charge air cooler will keep the truck cool with these new power upgrades. After the "boring stuff" is out of the way Jared gets to work on the Supercharger.
The Magnuson Supercharger install was straightforward although Jared pointed out the very specific torque specs that had to be applied to many of the bolts on new kit. The Magnuson cover on the 3.5L V6 Engine really makes the look under the hood stand out. Next came the AFE high flow Y-Pipe and the Corsa Cat Back Exhaust. The Corsa Exhaust was a bit stubborn but with some elbow grease and some "convincing" with a hammer everything went in relatively smoothly.
After the new power upgrades we took this thing out to the desert and man does it rip! With the new supercharger and exhaust we are expecting an improvement in power of about 340 horsepower.
