Superglue Hack | How to unclog clogged applicator nozzles

No matter how often you use CA glue, clogged applicator nozzles are always a bummer. In this video, we'll show you how to unclog your applicator nozzles with these simple steps.
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟭: Put your clogged applicator nozzles into a glass jar. (Putting a label is always a good idea)
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟮: Fill the container with enough acetone to cover those applicators.
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟯: Put the lid on and let it sit overnight. You'll be sure to find that the acetone has dissolved the CA glue the next day.
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟰: Place them somewhere to dry and they should be ready for your next application.
Don't forget that if you use a lot of these applicators, you can get additional applicators for your bottles on your next order.

Nice info on the Acetone. Could add that after you use you should burp the nozzle by tapping the base of the container on the bench until the glue runs out of the nozzle.

I just take my top off after I use it each time and blow it out and I never have any problem with it now! Also I keep my ca in the fridge unless I'm using it!

Hey it's Collin! That's lot of wasted acetone! (I'm cheap). Love the tip though! I'm running low on tips too! Perfect! Get yourself some of those tall shot glasses, put the tip in upside down and then cover base with a random small metal lid with enough weight to hold it down. :) Or head to the grocery store and just look for tall glass spice jars with metal lids. (Bring a tip with ya so you know it fits.)

ok, so how do you get the glued-on applicator nozzles off the bottle?

You have to take it off before that happens or loosen it with pliers if it does!

Will rubbing alcohol work?

It will not work the same, they have different chemical properties, rubbing alcohol is made from denatured ethanol, while acetone is a solvent.

I thought acetone was what the accelerator was.

No, it's a specialized mixture that's mostly made of acetone. Using acetone alone will break down the CA bonds rather than accelerate the drying process.
