Not a lot of people nowadays know about it, nor the name of the actress who played Supergirl way back then. So I thought a little background info was relevant. I often had to explain things (not my jokes) to my elementary school students. From surveys/man-on-the-street interviews I've seen here on YT, those in their 20s and 30s are pretty clueless about things that used to be considered common knowledge, and even more so about the past (even the recent past, like from the 1990s and before). As a former teacher, it makes me very sad and disgusted at the state of the lack of basic knowledge exhibited by young people these days. Sigh!

And the questions were so simple. Things like: --- What's the name of the ocean on the east coast of America? (This one was posed to people living on the West Coast.) --- What's the name of the ocean on the west coast of America? (Asked of people living on the East Coast.) --- What country is north of the USA? --- What does X stand for in Math problems? --- Who is the current Vice President of the USA? --- What happens when you mix baking soda and vinegar? --- What is the name of the group of animals that make milk for their babies? Those kind of questions.

It just a difference in power level. All DC characters outside of the normal humans have power levels that are too high for good story telling. All non-magic MCU villains would need at least 1 Infinity Stone to deal with DCEU Superman.
