The sad thing about this, Sega might do it, but actively not chooses to do so. I didn't quite catch it, but one of the creators didn't like the idea of the power creep trope like it's the case with dragonball and such. Which is why they didn't want to reintroduce neither ultra sonic nor hyper sonic. To be honest, that's not a problem, what a well thought storybook telling couldn't fix.

Sonic has been caught off before In Sonic Lost World he didn’t dodge Zomnom’s sandwich (twice I might add) In Sonic Unleashed he’s been caught off guard by Eggman and didn’t react fast enough to get out of his trap. (In Super form I might add)

@@RaccoonThunderMario_Official true but Both of those times, sonic had the high ground against both of his opponents He could’ve easily beat Zomom, and he could’ve beat Eggman in super form Like I said though, it’s not impossible to catch sonic off guard, he’s got a massive ego

(In my opinion) Sonic died from a laser and needed to be brought back with the dragon- i mean chaos emeralds (i'm not sorry for making the joke) While mario got caught off guard and eaten and 1 hp left and won a stronger version of bowletta. Or sonic forces he struggled with infinite because he was faster then him. Bowser tore through time and space to go to the past and still lost to yoshi and baby mario. Not saying Mario IS stronger then sonic but mario in narative is more impressive then sonic

@@TCBlueFire true, but sonic did fight Erasor djinn in a weakened base form(at the time, Erasor Djinn absorbs like 101 universes.) and beat him pretty easily, I’d say that’s somewhat impressive
