Dean was never one to get all sappy and expressive himself in a “chick flick moment” kind of way. Hell he let Jack drive Baby. And he didn’t just let Jack drive Baby, that whole scene where he’s teaching Jack to drive is a testament to the fact Dean cares about Jack.

The show was ALWAYS setting it up that it made the most sense that DEAN was the one that got that life and SAM was the one that went out like the hunter - otherwise there is LITERALLY no growth in their characters from season one, NONE. They're exactly the same - Dean wanting to be the hunter, Sam wanting out of that life, instead of what they actually WERE, Dean wanting growing tired of being a hunter and wanting a life, and SAM fucking becoming like his father. JAYSUS, that the fans will do absolutely anything to forgive such SHITTY writing is mind boggling.

So I loved the vampire diaries but don't give me hate because I think this ending fit supernatural better than the vampire diaries because I feel like it wasn't time for Stefan to die he had just got married he was finally going to be happy but it makes sense for Dean to die during the hunt because that's how he wanted to die and it makes sense that Sam lived a normal life that's literally what he was trying to do in the very beginning of the show and yes I know the vampire diaries had the ending first but I think Stefan should have lived

@@talkshh also it's not the same in my eyes because this end for Sam and Dean was imprinted in the show's DNA. It is fundamentally who these 2 boys are at their core. It is fundamentally the deep love they have for each other and for the last 15 years it has been predicted, foreshadowed, and Dean has said the very words that actually happened. Dean goes out on a hunt bloody and sad, he goes out loving Sam and saving people. And Sam lives on for Dean with a son he names Dean and with that more independent streak that Sam has had since day 1. Both of these situations are true to the characters we've seen for 15 yrs. And then Sam and Dean as depicted in S5 reunite in 'winchesterland' to be together forever happy and safe. The issue for me is that with the Salvatore brothers? Their ending doesn't feel organic. Their dynamic certainly doesn't warrant it and the 'love' they have for each other couldn't compare to what Sam and Dean built on screen for 15 years. When Dean says to Sam "I love you so much, my baby brother" you can feel that from the soul. Never felt that with Damen and Stefon. They spent the majority of their show resenting each other, seperated and fighting over a girl. Respect for those who love Vampire diaries but in my eyes the Salvatore brothers don't hold a candle to the Winchester brothers.

@Sukhy Atwal and yet this "same stupid ending" is very much in the DNA of supernatural with many scenes and events foreshadowing it over the years. Not to mention Dean's own freakin words to Sam. They showed Sam and Dean sharing heaven as far back as S5 'dark side of the moon' Dean predicted his own death many times and went out how he lived; saving people, hunting things and loving Sam. I don't know about those other shows but this ending was 100% supernatural.

And last night we got just that. And it was sad and beautiful. But Dean knew it was gonna end bloody, and he predicted his death years ago. He would go out hunting and his wish for Sam was the same wish years ago. Sam lives on for Dean Titanic style and will be reunited with him again. It was very interesting that the writers chose to show Sam with a family but the wife was blurred and nameless. Yet the child was a sharp focus. Sam named him Dean and seemed to put everything he felt for Dean into this child. And that kept him holding on until he could be with Dean again. Dean Jr becomes a hunter too and lets Sam go the way Sam let Dean go. Sam's grief after Dean was gone was so palpable too. Jared had me blubbing in those moments he was missing Dean. And when he cried in the impala and with miracle whining after Dean. You could see just how much it hurt honoring Dean's wish (And coincidentally was a mirror of Dean in S5 going to Lisa and Ben to honor Sam but never really being able to be happy without Sam) It seemed that Dean ultimately lived on through Dean Jr. I thought it was a fitting conclusion for 15 years of the Winchesters. Sam and Dean remained true to who they were and it was a bittersweet ending, which i always saw happening. I also loved seeing real Bobby again, the true father to the boys and a constant from season 1. It's very sweet that Bobby is the one who eases Dean into 'winchesterland' and only Bobby knows just how much Dean feels incomplete without Sam "He'll be along soon" you could see everything on his face. Dean goes to Heaven and all he can think about is having Sam by his side. Which is why i cried when Dean chose to get in the impala and drive waiting for Sam. I loved that this show made these brothers platonic soulmates, and that was never more apparent than when Dean was on that bridge at the impala, and he instantly knew the moment Sam had arrived. That freakin smile and "Hey Sam" and then "now it's perfect" with their arms around each other looking at their future.

It probably did return to sleep, since it was easily able to invade Heaven. It's probably just grateful to have nothing to do with Winchesters, Cas or anything else that interrupted its nap. Which more or less is all it ever actually wanted; to sleep. I'm pretty sure Jack has had enough of dealing with it and poking around it for one lifetime.

That's because he did officially die but we also can't see Castiel if Jack did bring him back due to Jack and Cas having ALOT on their plates. Cas is more than likely leading thousands of Angels, dealing with souls, and still fixing things because Jack's only been fixing heaven and the entire Universe for just such a short time... [With Amara's help thankfully...] but Cas has to fix everything before he can chill with old friends if he was brought from the Empty which seems true!

You can tell they were going for a full 22 episode slate then Croatoan Pandemic happened. You watch Season 4 you’ll get the reference. Season 3 you can tell they were going for full 22 then WGA Strike happened.

He accepted that he’s far more than just a killer, absolutely! Dean can know he’s worth more than just a killer while still continuing to go on hunts, he’s always enjoyed the excitement and he can continue to enjoy it without thinking that’s all he is. Dean genuinely loves being able to save people, and that inherent heroism is a big part of the positive traits he needed to realize he’s always had.

It doesn't make sense, and ya know it just proves that a certain subsection of this fandom don't understand this show and these characters. And sadly you'll remain in denial. Ship what you ship but remember the line. The show is over. The crazy metas and laughable narratives blew up in your faces and maybe you get what you deserve here. What makes sense and remains true to this show is Dean dying the way he lived; saving people, hunting things and loving Sam. And having Bobby, his surrogate father be the one to ease him into heaven and Dean to feel imperfect without Sam. Just like in S5 when the first thing Dean says is "Where's Sam?" When he gets to heaven, when he sees souless Sam in S6 and thinks he's in heaven. What makes sense is that Dean would get in that impala and drive to find Sam. That he wouldn't be satisfied and feel complete until he's reunited with Sam. Ya know just as Dean has said and shown through 15 seasons. Trying to shoe horn Cas into that would be laughable. Do you honestly think Dean wants anyone else there when he finally sees his beloved brother again? What makes sense is that the show ended the way it began. It was all about Sam and Dean and their relationship. So i understand you not being happy you didn't get certain things. But this show very much made sense and was true to who Sam and Dean were.

He literally did have that when Sam was in the cage and STILL was paranoid, he still was fearful with all his traps about the house, he made Ben and Lisa also fearful. He would have been a very paranoid father and quite over protective and over barring... Sam was tame and could control himself better, Dean couldn't. Dean also didn't want a family he wanted to Hunt, have Sam, and his beer. He wasn't a family person and stated that multiple times... Sam always wanted the white picket fence, wife, and children.. that was his dream.. and if you think about it Dean DID have a family, he DID have a son... Sam. Sam was his son, he raised his child into a young man, he protected him and celebrated holidays with him. Dean dying as he did was the best ending for him... that's the ending he deserved he raised his child.. he had his family.

@@KenshinXRikku Dean is a true warrior. So yes it would have been nice to see him with a family of his own but a warrior is a warrior. He would have found every excuse to continue fighting the fight against evil and would have died fighting because it's his true nature✌

Dean died the way he lived; saving people, hunting things, loving Sam. A very fitting end for Dean mf Winchester.
