For those who ask whether this is before Cas met the Winchesters. This video is dated October 28th, 2009. Cas first officially met the Winchesters in the show on September 18th 2009. Canonically, this happened about 5 weeks afterwards.

If you go by Christian theology he's not even that. He's God incarnate. Which is probably why we haven't run into him in the series yet. God pulled an Anna and made himself be born through a human woman. So now it's just Chuck walking around. (And probably the folks at SPN didn't want to offend Christians by depicting JC, either.)
