She doesn't wear the plants, the plants wear her. When in the process of becoming poison ivy in the lab, the plants somehow grew on her, like a flower. So the plants work as a body part, rather than a clothing item. Hope this helped!

I just had a very interesting thought about Poison Ivy: I found out that sometime after her Eden was destroyed, despite how much she always claims to hate humans, she actually took in 30 orphaned human children in Gotham after an earthquake destroyed their homes and took their families. She cared for them like her own but the city, not surprisingly, became very uncomfortable with the fact that an eco-terrorist that's well known for despising humans is now raising 30 human children, they even thought she was simply keeping them hostage. Ivy fought really hard to keep the children so she could keep them safe but in a very tragic twist of events they all wound up dying. The reason was because their prolonged exposure to Ivy and her toxic body eventually killed them. After finding this out I think Ivy's major psychological disorder is self-loathing. -They mentioned in the Animated Series that her body was unable to have children. So she turns to plants as her children, sort of like how some people turn to animals for companionship, because she can love them, communicate with them, and they would never betray her like the man who turned her into what she is now. -But then when the time came to protect her "children" she failed. Then she was given a chance to actually take care of real children but failed again only this time she in-directly caused their deaths. And, something else worth noting, she's also sort of failing to protect Harley, the only human she cares about, by acting as her enabler because every time the Joker hurts her Ivy always takes her in giving Harley no reason to stop going back to the Joker because she knows Ivy will always look after her until she can return to her own self-destructive path. -I think that even though Ivy claims to hate most people the one she hates the most is herself because she clearly has the compassion to want to care for the ones who depend on her but she always seems to let them down in the end. It's tragically funny, even though Ivy is always shown as one of the non-human villains she's more human than any of the other ones

Personally, Poison Ivy is my favorite Batman villain. She isn't even evil; she does what she does for ecological reasons.

Such a great and powerful villain that deserves a proper portrayal on film. Everytime I see Uma's clownish performance, I cringe. Poison Ivy is sexy, confident, a femme fatale not the over-the-top caricature she was in that God-awful Batman and Robin. DC needs to pick up the pace and start bringing more characters to the big screen!!!

There's also the fact that she was a botanist along with her collegues Alec Holland (Swamp Thing), Jason Woodrue (Floronic Man, the one who transformed her into Poison Ivy) and Susan Linden (Black Orchid). All four of them are known as the ones with plant-based powers in the DC universe, with Swamp Thing rulling them all.

when i first heart of her, in the animated series, she used pheromones and exotic plants as weapons and could not control them only strategically place them and she wasn't green, yet still poisonous and immune. so i find her whole control over plants in the later series a bit over the top

I think my version of Ivy's backstory would after Woodrue injected her with her own invention that the Men (Alec Holland and such) took credit from as a attempt to "silence" her but instead she became Poison Ivy, she fled to a desert island in the Caribbean and used her powers to grow plant life there as her own personal Eden to live in isolation until Wayne Enterprises tests a new weapon there that destroyed her island, hell bent on revenge she traces the corporation back to Gotham City which is how she first came there as she attempted to lay havoc and destruction on Gotham City mostly directed at Wayne Enterprises as she was beyond broken and she didn't care anymore at this point (as in she was in a "You've destroyed my home, now I'll destroy yours" mood) but she was reprehended and sent to Arkham Asylum which is how she met Harleen Quinzeil her future girlfriend and the rest was history. Or at least I hope this is Ivy's backstory in the Harley Quinn animated series for making her more sympathetic and the part that she moved all the way from Seattle to Gotham and all the sudden started being a criminal doesn't make sense to me at all.

Let me help. Clayface was once an actor, who's name escapes me. He was really good at what he did, though through some accident, could disfigure himself into his most known apperance. He slowly went crazy, trying to, quote, "Play the perfect role." In this way, he was able to fram and get an edge on batman multipule times, Though eventually went into hiding and doing odd-jobs for some of the higher-up supervillans, Such as in ARK. City, ((SPOILER)) He plays as the Joker, to keep his image up.

Please do a Supervillain Origins on the Fluoronic Man, I think he's another great plant based supervillain. Also Arcane since we need more Swamp Thing Supervillains and he is Swamp Thing's arch foe.

When Harley Quinn was Dr. Harlene Quinzel she diagnosed Poison Ivy and they became best friends. Ivy also broke Quinn of her obsession with the joker and she also helped her change Quinns origin story.

I honestly believe that Poison Ivy is less of a Villian and more of someone who is on the opposite side of war, with the war being Humanity vs Nature. From what I have seen of her, she seems like a good person to who her core.

To be honest Poison Ivy is really the only superhero who I relate to. Its so sad she's always stopped by the villain Batman. I often hope she succeeds in wiping out humanity and restoring earth to a lush, green, pure world led only by nature.

I've mentioned this before, but if it were up to me, I would have stuck to the casting of Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy in a Batman movie from this 90s if they were made better with Michael Keaton still as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Tim Burton as an executive producer (not as the director), & Dennis O'Neil as a consultant. I even would have considered having an original animated movie centered around Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn. For I thought in the animated movie, Batman & Harley Quinn, I was kind of expecting that Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy would have had a 'special' relationship; just to push the boundaries in animation. Now I'm wondering as to who could have portrayed Pamela Isley/Poison Ivy in a Ben Affleck-Batman movie within the DCEU??

he's not a villain, unless you just thought that up at the time but he dosen't have much of a origin in fact the movies show more then are in the few comics that accuelly has him even in them since some have just the other team members
