Four years ago, the Boroondara Council in-house fleet was up for renewal again and, with no surprise, they went with the classic Iveco Acco Bucher combination again. During this period of time, the impending announcement of the traditional Acco would stop being manufactured and Buchers new Gen6 model was already out on the market. Boroondara ordered a whole new fleet of these Euro5 Accos and got the GenV model put on them. These trucks were the last GenV models produced and had been specifically requested by the council that they were to be GenV's. Most of the fleet is made up of 22m³ but there are a few 20m³ Xtreme's in the mix.
I got down to the suburb of Ashburton on a Monday morning to get one of these on film looking all new and nowadays its all history as the Euro5 Acco is getting on and slowly being replaced, in contracts/fleets. The large Euro5 Acco fleet in Boroondara still goes today but will be interesting to see what chassis they pick moving forward. A lot of the trucks have different signage combinations on them but are all very similar. Cheers to the driver for letting me grab a video and Enjoy!!! :) :) :)
