I have the 1606, don't like the reverbon 1605 though, it's too ringy and not in a good way.

I wish you would've done a comet with master volume and reverb, too :) 10" isn't too small but not too big and heavy. Perfect practice, recording and jam-amp for me

The Comet has REVERB and we can install a MASTER VOLUME for you. It would be wired exactly like the 1605R Reverb

Hi, how loud can it get while still maintaining a clean/starting to break kind of sound? Loud enough to play with a drummer I mean

not at all loud enough to be clean with a drummer. Barely loud enough to compete with a drummer cranked. FANTASTIC recording and practice amp

Yeah you're gonna need 💥🎸 MO POWAA 😁 to keep a kinda clean/slight breakup sound while keeping up with a drummer. However this thing sounds amazing in person

Great Review! got me to get the 1606 next day yesterday, got it love it BUT! may i ask if you are using any pedals in this demo? when you are testing the Hi and the LO on the super 1606, i hear a good creamy overdrive even at around 2 o'clock which mine does't seem to have

Check with Supro, could be a faulty pre amp tube.

They both sound really great Mike. I’m looking for a “family friendly”, low watt, home amp to use use with a bunch of pedals (various modulation, a wah, a drive and a fuzz) - 1606 or 1605R? Appreciate your thoughts - thanks - T

The 1605R is my home amp... The Master Volume lets me get some tube crunch even at "bedroom" volume and the spring reverb makes the clean tone outstanding. The 1606 makes some of the best tube overdrive known to man, but you gotta crank it up to get there. Since its only 5 Watts, that is not going to make you deaf, buy it may make your wife Angry!

There is no loop, but someone posted they run delay in front w/clean tones and it sounds great. Thinking of buying one today.

@@Nashvillemusicman Just curious, with the 1605R there appears to be 3 different line outs, (Dry / Reverb / Mix) and a power amp input. Would you not be able to use these as an effects loop essentially?

I don't know. I did buy one and love it, however am going to part with it. Selling all my amps and buying a 65amps Tupelo!@@thefantasticmisterfox
