It's November, the air is cool and the surf fishing is HOT!!! With so many species of fish biting in the surf I am targeting a few different species while focusing on pompano fishing! I manage to catch a few flounder and a nice limit of pompano in Gulf Shores Alabama! Stay Bummy!!

I was raised in the Caribbean as a kid, lived at the beach and I caught most pompanos with a very thin line, no sinkers n parrot fish guts.

Ive never caught a flounder on the beach. Im on the treasure coast(ft pierce). I catch them all the time in the river around bridges.

Can’t believe how you always get flat clear water to fish was fishing in Destin first week of September choppy cloudy water guess need to travel little further west to Alabama to fish target fish reds and pompano love the videos 👍👍

Im headed to orange beach on june 21st never fished the ocean cant wait to get there still lookin for someone with a boat but not payin 300 for 2 hours lol so looks like ill be on the shore the vids are helpful thanks

Coming to gulf shores in a month for the first time. Any restaurants that will cook your catch for you? I think I saw a video awhile back where you did this but I can’t find the video. Do the pompano need to be filleted if restaurants cook your catch?

I'm going on vacation to gulf shores in a few weeks (end of June). I want to bring a pole but I'll only have one to fish with. I don't want to have to buy a lot of tackle I won't use later, so would you recommend fishing for flounder/pompano/redfish exclusively and what would be the best rig for that species?

There a ton of different ways to target those species. It’d be tough to go over everything written out. Keep watching my videos I explain a lot and catch those species often!

hmmmmmm Sean Gilligan said that there is no number limit in Florida. I believe that is incorrect. I am in tampa and the pomp must be at least 11 inches and no more than 6 pomp per fisherman. Anyway, just a thought.

Yes, you are correct. FL had a 6 pompano creel limit and 11 inches FL.

We don’t have any species that aren’t allowed to be caught. Most species have regulations as to size and creel limits. In regards to inshore species there aren’t any that have a closed season.
