We were invited to travel over to Panama City Fl / Destin area for a surf fishing tournament. It will be the first time we head over there and this video is everything I had to think of before going Surf Fishing in the Gulf of Mexico in Florida. Here in Cape San Blas just east of PC the Green shrimp FB has been doing really well. Haven’t had any luck with crab knuckles

Hey Great video, if I am casting a 6oz sinker what brand of leader and what weight would you use for a Pompano rig?

I would make sure you are using a main leader line being 30 lbs. I would recommend you continuing to watch our videos about tying your own rigs. Look at the fishing mortician rig. You will have an increase in bites over buying some of the cheap pompano rigs sold in most stores.

@@thesinkerguy I asked the same question on the surf fishing Florida Facebook page and one fisherman responded and quote " If I need a six-ounce sinker, I go back home" the reason for the six-ounce is distance. I have 10' rods and I can cast with 80lbs braid a 4oz on a spinning reel easy 100 ft however I make my own pomp rigs but since this is my first year fishing in Florida I am learning I have tried some lines for pomp leaders that will break the sinker off on a cast and boy does it fly, I was just looking at your mortician rig video and I did not hear you mention anything about using floats or beads is there a reason why? I appreciate your videos.

I'm traveling from the gulf side to St Augustine on Monday for a week.. do you guys have any resellers over there? Breakaway (sputnik) sinkers were normal over in the uk but I rarely see them since I relocated to FL.

Catch or buy blue claw crab, open them up and cut them up with scissor. He put out a video on how to do it.

THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT LOVE TO FISH AND THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT LOVE FISHING STUFF AND THE "CREATED" DRAMA OF ENDLESS GEAR. i always catch fish ! and im not even remotely as concerned as this guy about gear and rigs and all the bs drama guys like this try to convince you you need. he sells this stuff so he says you need it all.
