what's the purpose of the beads. sorry new to surf fishing. do you use these rigs with bait or without?
@thesinkerguy15 күн бұрын
@@mechanic350 the bead is just a color attractant. You will need to use bait or fishbites to help catch the fish.

Hello from Atlantic Beach. Thanks for the instructional. I have a double drop rig board I built 2 years ago, and it works well but yours is more compact, and it has dropper length options, so I am gonna give it try. Thank you again!

Visit Iceland 🇮🇸, I lived there 4 years. The USAF put me there during the cold war. Great fishing in Iceland. However, there's lots of regulations to fish! I fished from the jetties and deep sea fished. Loads of big cod, Halibut and wolffish. Tight lines!

I made a bastardized version roughly inspired by this. 2 clips, 3 short dowels and a tall screw for spools (some of mine have an I.D. of under 1/2"). Only 3 dowels as I just picked a single size; up until now, they were pretty random and usually shorter than intended. Now *much* quicker and more consistent. Thanks!

Good video on how to salt. I'm wondering though about losing all that moisture and flavor. I agree the clams need to toughen up to better stay on the hook but is it at the sacrifice of smell (and taste)?

Hey Chip. Do you use those same beads on your rigs when you thread the beads onto the shanks of the hooks on the snoods for the mortician rig? Or do you use beads with larger holes for those?? Thank you for all your very informative videos you put out. I’m learning so much !!

@@thesinkerguy thank you Chip for your response. One more I see you had beads on the shank of the hook. Did you redrill holes to accommodate that or were the holes big enough for you to slide them on.
