@@BenjieKimFishing Yea ive been having a blast with them! Only thing keeping me sane this summer is sight fishing corbina haha been working gnarly overtime and haven't been able to get on the skiff. I have been casting heavy flies on the spin gear for the beans and its been working out pretty great !

Going to Kern River this weekend to slay trout… Been watching your past videos and I was using my trout setup for practice in the Camp Pendleton boat basin and caught a spotted bay bass on a crappie jig and then your video popped up on my phone 😂😂😂 I’m also bringing the doc demon, please try for 🫘… so fun, 2# test

Oh heck yea. Love this so much. Your last comment was about catching BFT, this one is catching trout on 2 lb. Doesn't matter what or where, it's all about being out there and getting that tug!! Good stuff. Tight lines!

The old school that taught me how to sight fish corbina are all catch and release, so that's what I do as well. For those that have a passion for targeting them this way, there is a respect and reverence for the game. No issue with anyone that wants to keep em, that's just what I do! Tight lines!

BK you're the Corbie "Whisper". It appeared that, that fellow south of you was wading out farther then you cast to catch that fine fish. 1/2" Sand crabs by the "ga-zillions" at Santa Cruz and north. Schools of tons of anchovies there snagging on free, open edged hook. Halibut (and birds) are full; can't think about eating another bait.

Ahhh yes, sand crabs are so much bigger up north for whatever reason. WOW, that sounds suuupppper fishy, I'd be going crazy chasing birds and seeing all that bait in the water lol!

Thank you Mike, dude you'll get a bigger one for sure, you're always putting in the time and enjoying the water. Keep in mind the big crabs are only for sight fishing. If you're just casting structure, the small to medium ones are terrific. Wishing you a great weekend!!

Nice. I fish to eat so i don't mess with all the "sportsman" stuff. I catch a lot of corbina, almost never catch them when I see them. i put a pyramid weight at the bottom, an eagle claw hook, bigger than yours, up about 16 inches and keep the line somewhat tight. i've caught some big ones. i use a decently stout rod as well. i don't like toying with things, if i catch em and am going to keep them i put them out of their misery right away like i'd hope someone would do to me. catch and release is like asking for the aliens to come down and pull you from your bed! lol. lives ain't made to mess with for fun. i do enjoy fishing, but learned long ago sport fishing ain't a good game on the deeper side of things. cheers! nice work.
