So happy with these videos of yours. Surge is deep. It now even has two physical modeling engines, implementing MI code. The integrated Airwindows effects also add a lot of possibilities.

Yep. One step at a time :D The string and twist oscillators are quite a rabbithole of their own, and the FX section is huge, still have to properly explore the airwindows effect, I'm not even too sure I understand what it is supposed to do at the moment.

@@platipo AirWindows is a collection of various VST/AU plugins that each handles audio in its own way. Note that Not All of the AirWindows effects Are included in SurgeXT.

I use Surge a lot, and it’s nice to see someone making videos about it. For this reason I subscribed to your channel, I find your videos really interesting and helpful. I hope you will keep making videos about Surge. I also use Vital(ium) and Odin 2. By the way, did you know that you can make an envelope by selecting it in the shapes of the LFO? It takes just one click. Again, thanks for your videos!

You folks should know there's also FM3 (the third modulator is a fixed frequency) but if you know how to modulate it, it can be key-tracked.

You mentioned the FM3 part, but the third modulator (operator) is Not Normally key-trackable.

I know this is off-topic and you probably mentioned it in one of your other videos but... For the life of me, I can't decipher your accent (because it's not thick at all) and it's driving me nuts! If you don't mind my intrusion into your private life, WHERE ARE YOU FROM? My hypothesis is central to northern Europe, but I'm pretty sure you'll surprise me. Great vids by the way! p.s. I'm from Italy, now you know my secret

I didn't mention it, although, if you check my channel, there's actually plenty of videos in Italian, as I'm from Italy too. Many say I don't sound very italian with my english, but I believe in longer sentences the rythm of my speech betrays my origins and my mother tongue. I also do a killer Super Mario impersonation, by pretending I have a terrible italian accent, I might do a bit of it in my next video :)

Those seem sampled to me. Anyway making something similar in a synth isn't terribly difficult, you can basically follow the path for some slower strings and then set up the envelope attacks so that they can play staccato.

@@KazunaiOwO Well, I've made a few videos on how to make such sounds in Vital, you can easily apply most of those ideas in Surge as well.

@@KazunaiOwO there's two videos called "epic strings" or something like that, they should provide most of what you need in order to make your synth strings, to make them sound closer to those in the track you linked, all you need to do is making the attack in the envelopes shorter. They won't sound precisely "like that" anyway of course.... imho they will sound better :D
