A driver was arrested after Surprise police say a road rage incident was caught on camera. 40-year-old Charles Bass was taken into custody after pointing a gun twice at a teen driver earlier this month.
On December 5, 19-year-old Shi ’Anna Bamba was driving near Litchfield and Cactus roads in Surprise. After dropping off her siblings at school, Bamba said she tried to change lanes. Court documents said Bamba cut off a truck, but she told ABC15 that's not what happened.

As a USAF first sergeant, he was on a 20+ year career path toward retirement with a pension and benefits. That career is OVER and DONE. After the civilian courts punish him, the US military is going to court-martial him and boot him out. A military career destroyed because of 10-seconds of self-inflicted stupidity.

I'm a veteran and while I understand PTSD is a real thing and I understand how it can be triggered, I know there are probably some people who just use it as an excuse when they get caught doing stupid shlt. None of us can know for sure if he even has PTSD or if that really was a factor, but this guy definitely has some anger issues to work on and I feel bad for the trauma the girl had to endure; that memory will stay with her forever and have some deep psychological impact on her. That being said, I don't like to judge people based entirely on one stupid thing they did. In this case, pull out a gun and threaten someone over something as stupid as cutting you off in traffic. Now, I'm not saying this guy shouldn't be punished; he should spend some time in jail and attend mandatory anger management classes, but since I am a Vet, I have a pretty good idea of what's going to happen to him... He's probably going to get a BCD for this (Bad Conduct Discharge) and that will impact the rest of his life. The military doesn't mess around with stuff like this. A dishonorable discharge is about the worst thing you can do to someone in the military. But all these road rage videos make me want to park my car in the driveway and start walking to more places.

I've been retired for 20 years but the way todays military operates he'll probably be allowed to retire if he has the time in and they will let him be dealt with by the civilian courts. Remind of an incident years ago here in CT. A lady who was in the Air Guard was on the morning commute to the HQ armory and cut people off in traffic to get on the off ramp. She was in uniform and flipped of some of the angry people she cut off when they honked at her. She thought nothing of it, went to work, yada yada, or so she thought... One of those people made a complaint to a politician, who then called up the General, who then found the girl and she lost her full time employment. People thinking that their actions have no consequences, good or bad, is part of the issue of entitlement and narcissism in this country today.

If you have PTSD, you should not be owning any guns for your safety and others. I am all for gun rights , but if you are claiming that PTSD is the reason you pointing a gun at someone and threat to shoot and kill in a road-rage incident, you should seek medical help and get your temperament under control. If you think your life would be in danger, why would you even pull up next the driver who “cut” you off and confront them with a middle finger and a gun? Sounds like you have anger issues. Mount a front and rear view dash cam in your car, will save you a lot in the long run.
