yes this is the show ( that's alongside the pandemic and the internet) for some reason brings a lot of interest to chess Illinois all the sudden for some reason and also people are kind of bored these days sometimes also fun fact Netflix got lawsuit for a particular line of one of the female chess players never facing a man ( in real life she actually faced him a couple of male opponents) although I feel it was kind of weird but understandable

The Orphanage calls them "Vitamins" in the movie, hence the term. But beyond that, most pills back then were called "vitamins". It wasn't until the FDA came along to standardize things that they actually came to mean essential micronutrients.

When I was a kid, amphetamines were about 15 to 25 cents each. Seconal was about 50 cents. When I was in my 20s, 'Ludes were two bucks. So were psychedelics. PCP was legal. 10 bucks for 4 or 5 doses.
