Survival Fishing Kit | Chalk Box Fishing Reel

Glad to find your video the other ytuber that showed how to make this kit reference your channel for coming up with the idea. He also suggested putting some gear into a small bottle and putting it inside chalk reel. Love the creative use of objects for other purposes than they were intended.

Nice idea. I wonder about the casting part also but if one were just bottom fishing casting wouldn't be an issue likely. Good video.

Love to see new-to-me creative ideas. Neat idea that I hadn't seen for a hand held fishing reel. See benefits, especially if using heavier line for catfish & such. Think I have an old chalkbox, somewhere, that I haven't used in years. If I can find it, shouldn't be hard to clean out (probably messy!) and spool on some braided line. See em at flea markets, once in a while, if I can't find mine. ;-) If it still applies, your mat looks fine for presenting gear & DIY stuff. Thanks for sharing.

Looks great I'll try it but I have 1 question. How would you cast it? It would help a lot if you made a follow up video and I also think the mat looks fine and it's a cool idea for measuring stuff against

To answer your questions. The mat is great. Nothing to distract from the content presented. Over all Very professional looking production. Most of all not trying to SELL something. I'm going to sub. personally i dont like reels. if i buy a man made pole ill get a B&M Black Widow Cane Pole. otherwise i takemy tackle, bait and gut a green pole ill fashion a line to. after i get my fishin license ill go out and make a pole and do a vid on it. thanks for sharing bud.

Why did u remove all the string line u could of used half that sbacking line it's stronger then fishing line and springs

Another KZfaqr who made a similar video on a chalk reel fishing kit made the point that the string is cotton. It will hold water when wet and will rot.
