awesome. i love that bike. i just got my first bike this summer and cant get enough of it. i really hope that the next bike i pick up is a bandit. theyre such a bargain most of the time. i got to ride one a few months ago, it was amazing.

It's a 2003 Yam R1 Seat unit. You can make it fit by chopping off the standard B6 subframe and welding lugs on to mount the R1 subby on.

Lovely looking bike, I like how all the little touches have come together to make one big impact of a bike, great clutch cover too. Do you ever have any problems with how small the indicators are though? My friend has small indicators (poor guy lol) and everytime I'm following him i have no idea which way he's turning because I can't see 'em :S

Thanks for the comments Robert. This bike was actually written off in a bad accident last June. If you look at my other videos you can see the orange/black one I rebuilt from what was left of this one!! Not sure what you mean by the Codon??
@froudster16 жыл бұрын
Top tripple is custom made. The forks and bottom trippleare from a GSXR750 K5. I pressed the Bandit steering stem into the GSXR bottom tripple and used Bandit bearings on it.The front wheel is original Bandit with larger bearings fitted and spacers made up to suit.

Cheers Geoff. Point noted about the Red Bull can.....It's on my rebuilt bandit as well ;-) This bike was written off in an accident back at the beginning of June this year.

Thanks Antifaith. I hope you are making a good recovery mate and weren't too badly broken in the accident. These young'uns haven't got a clue.
@froudster15 жыл бұрын
No I just pressed the B12 stem into the Gixer bottom yoke and then used the original bearings. Custom made stepped top yoke used to enable forks to be dropped to maintain ride height.
@woody628814 жыл бұрын
how and where did you get that rear end and seat transfer. I would love to do that to my bandit. Please tell me

hey, am thinkin bout gettin a bandit 600 in the coming months n custom it. How hard is it to change the back end? (never done a custom)
@froudster14 жыл бұрын
Thanks Dave. They're Gixer750 K5 forks. I had to get some yokes made up to fit them. Since this vid was done I've got a matching bottom yoke as well. The top yoke is stepped so the forks can be dropped as they're shorter than standard B12 forks.

Hi Woody. I got the seat unit and subframe from a mate of mine. It's from a 2003 Yam R1. There is a fair bit of cutting and welding to do to get it to fit. The original Bandit subframe has to be cut off and the lower holes plated over. Lugs are then made and welded in place on the frame for the R1 subframe to fit on. If you can message me your e-mail address I'll send you the link to my build on the Oldskoolsuzuki forum. Cheers Froudy froudster 4 minutes ago

Thanks Duce. For those that don't know..On Thursday night a car driver decided to pull out of a layby and do a U turn in front of me. I had nowhere to go apart from to plant my front wheel in her wheel arch. I landed somewhere on the other side of the car. The bike is a write off as the frame is bent and cracked in places :( I was lucky to survive without any life threatening injuries although I am verrrrrrrry sore and have an enormously swollen right b*llock!! She will live again soon.

@froudster7 жыл бұрын
Wiring diagrams for both bikes GSX-R and Bandit and then just sussed it out and wired it up. Made my own mounting bracket. Speedo pickup and sender from a Mk2 Bandit along with Mk2 sprocket cover. Speedo Healer to calibrate new clocks.Job done!

Just cut a can of your choice down to size and slip it into place under the two long bolts that hold the starter motor together. If it's a B6 you'll have to stick or cable tie it in place as it doesn't have the two long bolts.

Yeah, I also saw that orange bike and I love it, aggressive like this one and you did great job for both of them. Sorry for you lost, this one was wonderful. Anyway, sorry for my english but what I mean for "Codon" is the rear part of the bike, witch is the same on both of your bikes, with 2 seats ( or 1) and the Stop Light like from Star Trek!! ;) That part of the bike is not from Bandit and I looking for something amazing like that for my GSX-R 1100. Can you help me?
