If someone doesn"t want to mount different bars or raise them, I have found a different solution to the long distance trips and that is a tank bag, preferably about 30-35 liters (mine is similar to Oxford Q30R) and fill it with whatever soft thing you may get with you ( extra jacket, gloves etc.) and just lay on your tank. It's so comfortable that you may fall asleep while riding, and more important NO WRIST PAIN.

Wee tip...buy Gilles parts(bar clamps) ,expensive, but you have 4 way adjustment,you can slide the bars back to increase lever clearance...the German kits are now £330...huge jump in price in 4yrs! I personally would fit bar mirrors, and get rid of the ugly fairing mounted one...plenty blanks to fill the holes out there!

Hi Adi, looking for a bit of advice here, I'm thinking of getting Renthal bars too, but instead of what you have done with the Bandit 1200 yoke, I'm thinking of getting 7/8" Renthal low-raise bars, cutting them in the middle & then inserting them into the existing RF900 yoke. I'm told the stock RF900 bars are just 7/8" steel pipe, so the Renthal bar(s) should fit & allow some rise, as well as sweep as well. Also thinking of getting 2 lbs of lead pellets, melting & pouring them into each end of the cut bars to dampen vibrations ! Any pointers ?

Hi, nice video. Did you need to drill holes on the bar to keep the switch assembly from moving, or do these bars come with this holes pre drilled?

No holes in the bars and i didn't drill them either, i just installed everything on the bars and it holds on.

Hi Addikxx 83 may i ask where did you find that steering wheel carbon look like sticker cuz i am really having a hard time looking for it since i cant find it nowhere and also where did you get these pretty cool clutch and brake oil R&G covers ? I’d Get new lines so can put the master cylinders where should be and level will look alot better mate. Wezmoto is who I used can make to custom length no extra charge. Also you may find your screen isn’t as effective now. Despite being double bubble you have one in the skidmarx type of design, powerbronze and pryramid double bubble screens are higher. Hope this helps. I have very similar setup myself and wouldn’t be without it.

That's true buddy. I had powerbronze touring screen before and it was indeed higher and more efficient. Might have to get it again.

Hi Addikxx very usefull and entertaining video as always any way any ideas about lowering the steering wheel ? I mean 1 or 1.5 inch if possible and i mean any SAFE ideas about doing it cuz i really dont wanna scrapping down with that bike fo sure

Hej. 6 tloczkowe zaciski to "Tokico". One wystepuja w Hayabusie 1st gen, Bandicie 1200, TL1000r, kawie zx7r i zrx1200. Zaciski bezposrednio pasuja do RF900 bo punkty mocujace maja ten sam rozstaw(90mm). Szczerze to gra nie warta swieczki. 6 tloczkowe zaciski maja co prawda lepsza sile hamowania ale daja gorsze wyczucie oraz sa uciazliwe w serwisie. Maja tez tendencje to zapiekania najmniejszego tloczka. Ja wrocilem do 4 tloczkowych zaciskow(i wielu ludzi podziela ten poglad) Pozdro

I think Bandit 600 yoke will not work on RF900 but i'm not totally sure

Hello, I see you here from Brazil, Rio de Janeiro, I completely reformed an RF900R. I already bought it with this type of steering that you adapted, but I think it was very soft, it looks like I'm riding a 26-rim bicycle, is that so, is it more comfortable with the original steering? thanks for the video.

The factory handlebars(clip ons) were uncomfortable for me. This is the reason why i converted my original ones to this style. You're right it will lift the bars high and riding position changes totally but i wanted that as with previous clip on type bars i would last 1 hour on the bike experiencing discomfort.

@@ivanpereirademendonca4607 if you are asking about the front suspension(forks) it didn't get any softer at all. If your forks are soft it means they need fork oil change. Go fro 10W or even 12.5W oil and you it will work amazing. You can also adjust the spring preload in forks. It will take 2 minutes and might help a bit but a fork oil change will sort it.

You sounded pissed off towards the end. I suspect the bike was telling you that it wasn't designed for these bars and fitting them seemed like a real embuggerance! Well done, but I prefer the originals.

Yeah it was a motherfucker of a job to adjust everything right,routing cables was a nightmare... All issues i encountered were caused by wrong bars... i went with medium and those are too high. It would be 10 times easier if i went with ULTRA LOW type. Ultra low would also look better, giving more aggresive streetfighteresque stance. Luckily i managed to get it all sorted but if was gonna do it again or recommend then only low bars are the option. On the plus side the comfort is amazing. Now my old grannie feels more like a Gold Wing :)
