Though being familiar with the Savage (I have one since 2007), the mild explanatory pace and the soft background music ("Blackbird" nailed it) made this one a pleasure to watch. Thumbs up 🙂

Thanks for the video. Is there a place for those shiny black hoses that go to air? Or just anywhere under the gas tank?

Just under the gas tank

Why didn't you change the jets to correct the extra lean running condition that everyone complains about?
@user-nx6hz7ij1v10 ай бұрын
I noticed you didn’t remove the 3 bolts on the side. Behind it there is a spring and rubber boot. I’m not well versed in how carburetors work, but should this be removed prior to submersing the housing to avoid the rubber deteriorating?
@leemendoza62109 ай бұрын
Yes. I was wondering if that cleaner is different.

The three screws were stuck and I couldn’t get that part open. It should be taken apart

My s40 is like having problems in 4th and 5th gear and I can’t push it to 100km I have a slip on exhaust. What do I do
@tpv593 ай бұрын
Was it running 'perfectly' at one time AFTER the slip on? yes/no (I assume the answer is yes obviously!) Then it sounds like a (partially) blocked Main jet. NOT the Pilot jet. Clean the Main jet. (Clean both jets while you are at it) I understand the Pilot jet's 'job' is from 0-50% throttle, and the Main jet's 'job' is from 50% to 100% throttle. Good luck.

Are you pulling out the choke before you start it? And keeping it out until the bike is warmed up?

SIMPLY adjust the IDLE screw. It takes a FEW seconds!!! A FEW seconds. That is what the IDLE screw is for. It just takes a FEW seconds!!!!!

I dont understand the intricacies of carburetor parts. So just curious, how come you didnt count turns on the jets and just sunk em in all the way?
@jakesworkshop12534 ай бұрын
Simply because that is how I found them when I opened it up. I checked each jet along the way and they were all sunk in all the way.
