Hello, first of all I want to thank you for posting your awesome adventures with the Vitara. It really is an awesome car and can take a good driver over a lot of terrain types. I have a question, did you think of buying a set of Yokohama G015 on 16 inch steel rims? They have a more aggressive profile and would work better than the Coopers. I am waiting for mine tomorrow and will take the Vitara on a off road track next weekend.

Hi, I was thinking about Yokohamas, and this is first choice of many people. But I have calculated costs of buying additional rims and pressure sensors and went with cheaper option. About profile aggressiveness I am not sure if there is so much difference. But having 16 inch instead 17 inch should give you definitely some advantage(more elastic tire with - higher vertical size/profile of rubber). If cost and look is not big factor for you, I think it is better choice, you have made. Especially Coopers are maybe not bad in the mud, but they are prone to slide on wet asphalt. :/ Let me know in some time if Yokohamas will be skidding for you as well. Have a nice weekend with new tires :)

Haha, I would trade maybe for Jeep Wrangler, if we talking about new ones ;) But I heard Wrangler is not very reliable. Old Jeeps that is different story. As for now I have no major issues with Suzuki.

W jakim trybie był napęd : snow czy lock? A czy do zjazdu w dół był włączony tryb Hill Descent Ctrl? Co do porażki z wjazdem to wydaje się mi powodem brak reduktora w tym aucie, albo to, że opony nie oczyszczały się z przylepionego błota. No ale to nie terenowka z simexami przecież 🙂

Zawsze jeżdżę w trybie Lock i z włączonym ESP(bo zapomian wyłączać;)). W dół, HDC włączony. Zjazd był ok, nawet nie musiałem specjalnie przyhamowywać, bo ta górka nie była aż tak bardzo stroma. Dlatego byłem w szoku przy wjeździe, że ma takie problemy. Może po prostu na powierzchni było zbyt dużo mokrego błocka i nie było o co się zaczepić. Warunki były zaraz po deszczu. W takich warunkach to on mi się uślizguje nawet na płaskiej drodze polnej ;) Jak by było masełkiem posmarowane:) Co do oczyszczania, to tak jak mówisz, nie ma cudów. Coś tam delikatnie sie oczyszcza, lepiej niż drogówki, ale oczywiście nie tak jak MT-ki czy Simexy. Co do reduktora, to nie wiem czy by tu pomógł. Chyba koła by sie obracały w miejscu po prostu. Ale i tak jakże by on się nieraz przydał.:) Nawet w prawdziwych terenówkach, technika na pokonywanie takich miejsc, to gaz w podłogę i modlitwa żeby utrzymał pęd ;)

What is the general ride comfort in daily use, on streets and roads? How she handles speed bumps for instance?

I would position in somewhere in the middle, regarding hardness of suspension. It is neutralizing uneven surface quite fine, but it same time not too mild. On uneven rock paved road you can easily go fast and you dont feel lot of discomfort. I take bumps quite fast as well, but of course you feel it a bit. But take into account I have not so much comparison with other car.

Hi, I didnt measure. I would say 15-degrees. But it was extermaly slippery :)

The Vitara has enough power. This time the limit was clearly the traction. Maybe a bit lower pressure in the tires would have helped.

Probably heavier the car more issues it would have. Unless better tires.

Przecież problem z podjazdem nie dotyczył silnika lecz przyczepności kół. Jedziesz w teren na oponach przeznaczonych do jazdy po asfalcie i dziwisz się czemu nie dają rady na tłustym podmokłym błotnistym gruncie. Co chciałeś tym udowodnić.

To były opony AT, więc coś pomiędzy terenem, a szosą. Na pewno mają lepszą trakcję niż szosówki w takich warunkach. Nie założę przecież do SUVa opon MT :) Zresztą podejrzewam, że cięższa terenówka na oponach AT poradziła by sobie jeszcze gorzej. Suzuki Vitara ma dobry stosunek mocy do wagi. Udowodnić chyba nic nie chciałem, lubię testować, jak daleko uda mi się dojechać tym autem. ;)

In these conditions snow chains would help :) Wet gras is a disaster for grip.

I was considering buying one recently. They could be potentially life saver in bad situation. But I have no experience how safe they are in use in snow.

@@OutdoorAdventure0 why wouldn't they be safe? Just be sure to install them according to instructions. There are also more expensive types with easy-mount system. But how come you don't already have them, I thought Poland is snowy :)

Recent years, there is not so much snow in Poland. Not much chances to use them. Regarding safety, theoretically they should be used in snow, not on more harder surfaces. I am not sure if they will survive and potentially they can be "sucked" behind wheel. But I have no practical experiences, just it is what I imagine ;)

@@OutdoorAdventure0 Not for hard surfaces for sure, but they prove to be very useful on wet grass. If they are mounted correctly they are safe, especially more expensive types from Konig/Thule. Anyway Vitara is clearly very capable vehicle.
