As a person who grew up on UPN in the 90s he is absolutely right about the programming they had. But I never looked at Malcom & Eddie as stereotypical, they both had they own business, were roommates & most of the episodes from what I remember was about them tryna get more money & women, which I think every black man can relate.

I totally understand where he is coming from. Just because he holds himself to a certain standard doesn't make him a snob. As individuals we don't have to agree on everything. He doesn't have to like Eddie. Some people you just don't vibe with, no hate. He doesn't have to like that brand of comedy. It is not a requirement because he is black to like that comedy either. I'm proud of him for sticking to his guns. I loved him and Tracee Ellis Ross together on "Reed Between the Lines" and I wished it had lasted longer. I love Malcolm and wish him all the success.

Chicago loves Malcolm and Eddie. I still watch it when it come on some late nights. A lot of good shows had cast members that were not necessarily buddy buddy but saw the bigger picture and got paid because of the fact that even though they could not see eye to eye the long term legacy is everything. They both understood that. Hell Lucille Ball and Desi Arnez were basically separated going major Marital issues the last couple seasons of I Love Lucy and that show is still shown on T.V. legacy is sometimes greater than if u can get along or not.
