Sweden. Land of abundant forests, breathtaking landscapes, and heritage of the Svea, the ancient Nordic viking tribe. The largest country in Scandinavia is also home of IKEA, ABBA, the midnight sun, and ice cold winters. Sweden had been on my travel bucket list for quite a while and I was excited to finally have the opportunity to see this magical Nordic country in all its beauty with my own eyes. Over the next 8 days, I would embark on a road trip and explore some of the most fascinating historical sites and nature spectacles that can only be found here. I was ready to explore the mesmerizing beauty of the Venice of the North, marvel at some of the most picturesque fairytale castles, drive through the vast Swedish woods with lots of surprise encounters with reindeer, rediscover the magic of Swedish pop music, get a glimpse of the rich naval heritage of the vikings, enjoy the rich city life, cobbled streets and market halls of Gothenburg, be amazed by at the gigantic rocks filled with Bronze Age stone carvings that date back thousands of years, wander through the unique UNESCO heritage village of Gammelstad, discover some of the cool art installations in Umedalen and try the best food in an original Swedish IKEA warehouse. Sweden is filled with some of the most impressive natural landmarks and a distinct cultural heritage which I could not wait to discover. I was ready for my grand Sweden Roadtrip.

Thank you! Yes, unfortunately I’ll have to fix it first. Am a bit busy in the coming weeks but once fixed, I’ll definitely upload again. Just thinking about maybe splitting it into 2 episodes since 2 hours might be a bit too long for one video?

Hi Janus, thanks for featuring Sweden since large part of my heritage is Scandinavian and the area is on my list. Looking forward to Iceland, when I clicked on it it came up as private video, I wondered if I had to join a special club, haha. Cheers my friend!

Thank you Ed. Sweden is a fascinating country indeed. There were some rendering issues with the Iceland video that I need to fix but I will re-upload in a few weeks again so please stay tuned. I may also split it up into 2 episodes since it’s currently 2 hours long which may be a bit too long?

Greetings, Sir J! 😊 Sweden's natural landscape looks tall, grand... and calm? Hahaha! Or perhaps it looks strikingly different from the tropical lushness I am more accustomed to? Forest lands here in PH can be quiet treacherous and my grandparents would say that the calmest rivers are also the most dangerous ones. That's taking into account the water current alone, aside from occassional 16 to 20 feet crocodiles. 😅 Turning back to Sweden, I think the landscapes, architecture, and overall culture reflected in your vid is enchanting. The glasswork looks magical and the way homes and other historical structures were preserved are something to aspire for. The drone shots also look stunning. Great vid, sir. Thank you Cris. I think the forests there are probably less dangerous than in the tropics where one can encounter snakes and other surprises. But in the remote areas you may encounter bears I suppose. Although I’ve only come across plenty of reindeer and they are very calm and chilled 👍😅

@@januslog If I were you, I would keep those travel vlog videos. That is your legacy and you should be proud of it even if they are not popular now. You put a lot of efforts and energy into them. I am 100% they will be popular once the right audience/viewers find them. You just need to be patient. It takes time.

@@khormaka5981 thank you very much! Yes, I have not erased them. The channel still features the full playlist of the Philippines with all vlogs and the same for Saudi Arabia. But compared to all my other videos they literally don’t get any views at all unfortunately. I had fun doing them though. I’m doing all my videos for the fun of it 😅

Hi bro... nice video! Just wanna ask you about the landscape of Sweden.. Although it's a scandinavian country, we tend to think of Switzerland as well when talking about Sweden (atleast in my district).. I don't know why.. maybe due to their kinda like names- 'Sweden' & 'Switzerland'.. I don't know 😅.. having said that, does Sweden have the same ladscape as Switzerland with high countryside and lovely mountainous region?

Thank you! Sweden has a mountainous side that offers hiking possibilities in the summer and skiing in the winter. But it’s most famous for its vast forests and lakes, and a lovely coastline.
