I love the Golgatha album. The songs are the strongest they've ever made. And his voice is better then ever on that album. I like that Blackie has changed as a person. As he say "if I'd a better song writer back then, they wouldn't have had to do that spectacular shows. But now he is that good writer so he hasn't do do a show around the music.

The word "Rapture" isn't in the Bible. However what the Rapture means is in Pauls epistles. Its called the Blessed hope. The rapture is a "Pauline doctrine". The rapture has nothing to do with the sencond coming of Christ. I Thessalonians 4:13-18 (kjv)

Thanks for sharing and thank you Blackie for being so open about your life! Someone else who will step forward and be open about their faith? A personal and living relationship with Jesus Christ is the key. A form of godliness but denying its power and an outward appearance of religion is not from God.

google+ sucks ass big time Blackie started the original line up in his vision, did all the footwork to make it happen, writes the lyrics/music, and is the only member to be in all lineups. It's his band. I understand your comment, but Blackie is W.A.S.P., the others really have no say for the band. For the most part they are hired musicians to play music in Blackie's band. At one point he said he was going to release his albums under his name but the record company wanted a known band name for sales. W.A.S.P. has always been Blackie's band.

For all those that criticize Blackie's life change or want to slam Christianity: instead of being critical, perhaps you should see this as inspirational? Just think: along with Blackie, Head from Korn, and Dave from Megadeth, even Alice Cooper - if there was nothing to it, and it wasn't real - how could all of these guys, who were deeply entrenched in the world and the opposite of Christian living, suddenly turn their lives around 180 degrees...and stay that way?! Instead of trying to put down these people and their decisions for their life, look within yourselves; and see how these people changed their lives and continue to change others, all. for the positive?! Jesus IS exactly who He says He is...and He lives! BIG props to God for how He loves and uses us, exactly, just the way we are!

+gounderus But were they indeed on the opposite side? Or was it just a show? Or is there a third side we cannot see, the side of the puppet-masters perhaps?

+Forthright Cattiergiantess Wow...now that is deep! Lol! Regardless...if the dark side was all for show and showbusiness...something REAL changed Mustaine, Head, and Lawless and countless others (including me!). To change a person's life so completely and so thoroughly...that is a true sign of what God does! And yes, by thoroughly, I m referring to how Head, Mustaine, etc were chemically addicted to drugs, yet thru faith, they kicked it (in Head's case overnight). That is not propaganda. It's real life! :)

I think there's a point to be made about artists and celebrities too though. If you achieve fame and fortune from doing something you love i can imagine it would be easy to end up thinking your life has been 'blessed' in some way. Notice how these 'born again' christians tend to find their faith later in their careers, i think it's looking back on their legacy and seeing a sort of miracle in the fact that they were able to go for so long. As for artists, they tend to look deeper into things, for meanings in less obvious places, they see the world in a different way than others, they might think more poetically, see more in nature or society than others. A lot of people look at religion and have such a black or white perspective of it. It only makes sense to me that these people who live their lives creating, analyzing and recreating the beauties and flaws of life would also see religion in a way that the majority of people do not. It's easy to say "well there's no science to prove god exists"... it doesn't matter, artists aren't creating from science, they create from imagination. I honestly envy Christians in a strange way because they have a certain sense of belonging, they have comfort from something that i cannot find within myself to understand.

People change as they get older. You learn more, experience more and see through the bread and circuses and see what's real. The evil in this world creates such a massive smokescreen and deceives the youth so much that you can't see the truth until your too old to do anything about it. I've walked a similar path. Your parents try to do right by kids but fail because they're human and in your youth you rebel against their short comings think your getting truth from media and by the time you realize the adults were right, your old and your kids aint listening. Its a sad cycle of modern culture.

Have to say I'm dissapointed of this band. They lived their peek back then, these days are almost non existing. A few world tours were canceled because of the Corona, it doesn't made any changes with their daily behavior. Rarely shared interviews, even more rare news from the band. We are waiting for new album since forever. Blackie is loosing his voice. And I was going to pass this, but... Many rock stars at his age looks brilliant. If I was world famous and one of the most loved musician, I'd take care of my look and wouldn't go on stage with the same outfit for ten years, neither abandon my weight and vision like this. Last time W.A.S.P. came to my country public was singing, band was just playing. No music, no stage performance. Why should I go to a concert than, to sing myself and to watch bunch of old guys standing on platform doing nothing?

I'm actually disappointed. While Blackie sounds like a smart and wise man he loses much credibility by believing in a old bearded man up in the clouds and lets not forget....Blackie robbed people out of money kinda like Ozzy and Sharon robbed a handful of other people out of writing credits, royalties, etc. To also add: he wont even play certain songs from his catalog anymore because they are (GASP) too evil or too dark.

You lose credibility when you stop thinking for yourself and let the govt and establishment think for you. Everything we are taught is false. From big bang evolution monkey science to climate change, terrorism, viruses and vaccines. All designed to enslave humanity and keep the rich in their place. It's called survival of the fittest. Enslavement by design.
