Sweet And Sour Pork With Lychees (Putien Style) | 荔枝咕噜肉 (莆田式咕噜肉)
Hey everyone, welcome back to g8stromania. Today, we are going to share a really famous chinese dish but in Putien Style: Sweet and sour pork or Kuluyoke. Savoury, crispy pork coated with sweet and sour sauce that just enhances your appetite. With added lychees for the special sweetness.
400g of pork shoulder
Half of green and yellow bellpepper
Half an onion
Lychees
1 Egg white
About 120g sweet potato flour
Pork Marinade:
1 tbsp of soy sauce
1 tbsp of oyster sauce
1 tbsp of shaoxing wine
A dash of white pepper powder
2 tbsp of corn flour
Sweet and sour sauce:
3 tbsp of tomato ketchup
1 tbsp of plum sauce
1 tbsp of white vinegar
2 tbsp of sugar
Steps:
1. Marinate the pork for at least 2 hours.
2. Remove from the fridge, and coat in sweet potato flour.
3. Fry the pork and then double fry.
4. Fry the bell peppers slightly and set aside.
5. Fry the onions until fragrant then add the sauce in.
6. Add about 100ml of water, taste when boiling and adjust.
7. Add in the bellpeppers.
8. Turn off fire and add the pork and lychees. Mix evenly.
